So it’s a movie that someone could sink a few hours into for the humor and visuals if they don’t necessarily care about the plot? May check it out if it becomes streamable. The description kinda reminds me of Pacific Rim, which has just enough of a simple plot to keep the audience engaged while the main focus was clearly on the Kaiju and Jaegers. 10/10 movie, wish it got a sequel. Also, props to you for going to a movie from a franchise you know you didn’t like and making a great review for it. Shows levels of dedication I wish I had.
@@thedarkbard thank you so much for that feedback and compliment! 🙏 Yeah, it’s not a film you go into expecting a story worth its weight, which stinks because they show glimpses of that and never expand on it. Pacific Rim is awesome! I really enjoy that movie. It did get a sequel (“Uprising,” I believe) which wasn’t very good… 😂
@@ReelJames Yeah, it sucks when a movie shows glimpses of a good, complex plot, but doesn’t follow through on it. That’s one of the reasons I admire Pacific Rim, it knew what it wanted to be and stuck to it. Now, both fans and directors demand an all star movie that’s great in everything, so it’s rare to see it now. And I know about uprising, that’s a joke among the fandom; at best view Uprising as a well made fan movie. There is Pacific Rim; The Black, a Netflix animated show. It’s good, and the animation is comparable to the originals CGI, but it did try to go for a complex plot and, while I was able to enjoy it while binging, in retrospect there are some areas it fell short. Would recommend for shorter Pacific Rim content if you’re so inclined.
Nah pacific rim had strong side characters tough. And the plot is simple but good and it works. Deadpool and wolverine??? Well if its anything like deadpool 1 and 2 well I don't expect that much of that.
@@tomgu2285 that’s what I’m saying. Pacific Rim had a good, well executed simple plot. It wasn’t anything amazing, but it was satisfying and didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the movie as a whole. What I’m getting from this movie is that they tried to have a bit of a complex plot, but missed in a way that did subtract from the overall enjoyment.
James keeping it REEL😂. I lowkey have the overrated thoughts about Deadpool too. Tbh I could never fully get into Deadpool, the movies were too sexual for me . Like I don’t mind innuendos and looking at hot dudes but they did a lil too much for me in those first 2 movies so I’ve only seen bits and pieces of each movie. Now Wolverine .. I have a nostalgic feeling for that character and Hugh’s portrayal of him. I believe the first marvel movie that I watched with my parents and brother was X-men.. 2002? 2001. I forgot lol. I was a little girl but that was my introduction into the superhero genre and then I watched Spiderman and then yeah all these years later and I think I’m a bigger marvel fan than both my dad and brother combined😂😂. But anyways, the character of Wolverine is quite impactful. I like Ryan, I like Hugh, I like marvel but it’s fair to say I find this specific franchise within marvel bleh at times. I’ll probably watch it but maybe down the line or when it comes to Disney plus… or if someone buys me a movie ticket 😂 Super fair review!

@@TDP_SKZ hi! 👋 I’ve never listened to Stray Kids before, so admittedly I wouldn’t recognize a song of theirs if it was used in the movie. My bad! What’s the name of their song, though?
@@TDP_SKZwas it just a song that was featured or are they actually in the movie? My sister is a huge fan of them and swears they have some huge acting role in the movie 😂😂
The movie was nothing special and Deadpool was annoying as f, the only scene I liked, was at the end of the movie when they holding each other and the reactors, or whatever those were, and the music in the background.

Hi, Andy! Thanks for tuning in. I've explained this before, but as a film/TV critic, we don't just cover what we enjoy. We review films/shows regardless and provide objective critique. Imagine living in a world where everyone just agrees with your opinion on film/TV. That would be awful!
*Which "Deadpool" movie is YOUR favorite?!*
Deadpool 1
Deadpool 2, but I have to recognize that the first one is objectively better.
