I always bring along a chainsaw to help improve my prospects of getting good landscape images. ;^) But seriously, wonderful advise and brilliantly presented as always.
Thanks for great tips for woodland photography, Paul. I will never walk past the water puddle or the moss on the trees from now on! 😃 I particularly want to try the macro shot of the moss soon. And huge congrats for 2M viewers! 🥳🥂
Some great shots there Paul. I am not sure the cropped 8mage of the reflections works for me, but what do I know. Stay safe. I am looking forward to the next one.
Hi Paul this lockdown business has produced some very interesting videos lately as everyone is being almost forced to think outside the box to get some images and everyone is now taking photographs off things that they would normally walk straight past without a second glance. Negatives into positives and all that, until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
I always enjoy watching your videos Paul . I love the image of that pattern in the tree trunk you found , I love to capture shots like that. I also liked the reflection shot near the end. On the same day I was out early on my local patch and went for a walk from The Crooked Billet...... The stream had burst its banks and it made for some alternative shots to what I have captured there in the past. Then yesterday when I returned the stream had gone back down and so had the flooded fields other than a few patches in the church field . Oh and guess what because I did not have my long lens I saw two Red Kites ! Anyway thanks for sharing Take care : ) Teddy
I find it very interesting how extreme weather can change scenes. In fact, it's something I try to bear in mind more - it can often provide new opportunities. Nice to hear you getting out and about.
Thanks for this, Paul. You've inspired me to 'look' more when I'm out and about. I've done a few reflection shots in the past but it's only been a quick grab shot and not a more considered shot. I'll give it a go next time I'm at Brockadale.
I didn't know about live view mode preventing shutter/camera shake. Thanks. Manual focus too. I try to take pictures of butterflies and there are many times when manual focus doesnt work.
Sheer genius Paul you really have an eye it's like watching a artist at work👏👏and the fact your filming it your self brilliant talent 👌what camera and tripod are you using to film your self?
Well done you certainly have to have an eye for this kind of photography 👍👍
Because he is a pro nature and landscape photographer!
Nice shot!
Thank you for the video and thanks for telling where you put the focus !
You're welcome. I will do more of that.
Enjoyed the video Paul, thanks for sharing, some very nice images
Thank you 😊
Another good one Paul. at 1.30 it reminds me of an Elephant's leg.
Someone else said that!
Ruff skin
Great inspiration, thank you - I’m off to the local wood.

Cheers Sam! I am guilty of moving the occasional leaf or twig.. but not a tree..!
Nice one buddy, can be challenging photographing in woodland this time of year, loved the reflection shot 😉👍🏼
Cheers bud. Trying to push myself a bit more. Stop shooting the ordinary...

Hey Michiko! Hope you're o.k. There's so much to find in woodlands. Just take it slow and search..

No worries. I actually prefer the first one!

Great video I wandered round my local wood a few days ago, couldn’t find a good shot! I will be looking closer next time👍🏻
It's often small things that work, which ideally you need a macro lens for. But I really believe there are pictures almost everywhere when we look.
@@PaulMiguelPhotography I do have a macro , but I had my 400mm with me 😩
Great subjects. I wondered if you considered converting to black and white? Several of these would be perfect for BW treatment.
Thanks Philip. I never think of this, so thanks for the suggestion

Great to hear!
Lovely movie. Super implementation. Congratulations on the idea. Greetings from Poland and invite you to visit our country.
Thank you. I have visited Poland once. Some lovely scenery.
If you’re ever down Devon way you should pay Wistmans wood a visit
I've heard of that. It's not the twisted trees is it??
@@PaulMiguelPhotography yes that's it, twisted trees and large boulders covered in moss
That first shot looks like an Elephants foot.
Never noticed that!
😂😂
