It wouldn't happen with ANY team owners because plenty of announcers say the same kind of things and aren't suspended, I've heard John Kruk many times in the last few seasons bring up Phillies struggles vs Marlins, Somehow He's managed to keep his job, Heard Yankees announcers openly talking about How different things use to be when George Steinbrenner was around as opposed to his Son and THEY survived. Maybe just maybe everything doesn't go back to a certain ex- President, crazy right?
They suspended the announcer for saying that the team has lost that many series in a row, but what about the guy who did the graphic? What about the person who approved said graphic? Is the management really that butthurt over facts? And if they don't like the facts, then help the team by making it better and signing players who are actually good instead of shooting the messenger.

Unfortunately, this isn't a first for Orioles ownership. At one point, the Orioles had the great Jon Miller calling their games. (Easily the best voice of the Orioles since broadcast hall of famer Chuck Thompson was calling their play by play.) When he was broadcasting for the Orioles, the team was really bad - and he was honest about what he (and everybody watching) was seeing on the field. But Peter Angelos decided to not renew Miller's contract with the team because he didn't bleed orange and black. Jon Miller has been broadcasting for the San Francisco Giants ever since.

I think I finally got through with my local newspaper. My journalist friends are no longer criticizing me for criticizing their work. They are asking me to help out with their perspective, I wish I would get paid for it. But I did not back down when they would criticize me; I used logic, reason, and compassion to get through to them. I thought hope was gone. Maybe it is not. They might be moving forward with more interesting articles, or at least a few of them might try to hold people accountable to the truth. Small steps. I'm still thinking of leaving the profession for good. But hope is there.

There many occasions where I witnessed Mike Breen not knowing the difference between a travel or a foul called in a play. Jeff was critical of nba refs and the network just could not accept it.

Well, if you're a baseball fan casual or otherwise, Baltimore is one of and possibly the best team in all of baseball. So, you should be able to point out where you were before you started winning, my detroit tigers back in 2003 lost 119 games and three years later were in the world series. So, that's a big part of it is realizing we were terrible a couple years ago look how far we've come type of thing.
A couple examples to cite for me. One. Is subject to bias the 2013 Red Sox were never supposed to win the World Series according to their manuscript. Similar to that of the current Mets where they've signaled to their fans that they arent trying to win in 2023 and 2024. But honestly. The Mets could get a third wild card next year just because they won't feel pressure to winning the AL East. The 2013 World Series stunted the Red Sox a little bit. Because they tried to repeat the formula in 2014 thinking they had more than a fluke and ended up selling by the deadline.

Even so called “regional games” not counting Sunday, Monday, Thursday and all playoff games is available to everyone in all 50 states via UA-cam Streaming/Pay Per View Sunday Ticket. Ps actually Simms IMO is doing much better and “honest” as a Studio Analyst/Panelist on the NFL Today and on several regular segments during the season such as on Chris Russo’s Mad Dog afternoon Radio Show.

Such a weird scenario when you look into it. A graphic had been created for this stat (wins-losses, dates, a couple of objective bullet points) and he was basically reading off it--meaning the entire broadcast team got together to create the coverage. It's also not unheard of to look at how teams/players do well against certain teams in certain arenas (NHL does this a lot as hockey often has some oddities in their statistics, Hockey Gods is a term of endearment for it, but you often see teams recognizing long winless streaks in situations). Back to point: this broadcaster finished the coverage by pointing out that the Rays where a powerhouse team during this bad spell & was framing this as a reason to not be totally hopeless or upset going into the next game in the series. The guy was being Supportive of his organization & that part was moreso his personal take rather than the collective broadcast team.

Well, if you're a baseball fan casual or otherwise, Baltimore is one of and possibly the best team in all of baseball. So, you should be able to point out where you were before you started winning, my detroit tigers back in 2003 lost 119 games and three years later were in the world series. So, that's a big part of it is realizing we were terrible a couple years ago look how far we've come type of thing.
A couple examples to cite for me. One. Is subject to bias the 2013 Red Sox were never supposed to win the World Series according to their manuscript.
Similar to that of the current Mets where they've signaled to their fans that they arent trying to win in 2023 and 2024.
But honestly. The Mets could get a third wild card next year just because they won't feel pressure to winning the AL East.
The 2013 World Series stunted the Red Sox a little bit. Because they tried to repeat the formula in 2014 thinking they had more than a fluke and ended up selling by the deadline.

Even so called “regional games” not counting Sunday, Monday, Thursday and all playoff games is available to everyone in all 50 states via UA-cam Streaming/Pay Per View Sunday Ticket.
Ps actually Simms IMO is doing much better and “honest” as a Studio Analyst/Panelist on the NFL Today and on several regular segments during the season such as on Chris Russo’s Mad Dog afternoon Radio Show.

Such a weird scenario when you look into it. A graphic had been created for this stat (wins-losses, dates, a couple of objective bullet points) and he was basically reading off it--meaning the entire broadcast team got together to create the coverage. It's also not unheard of to look at how teams/players do well against certain teams in certain arenas (NHL does this a lot as hockey often has some oddities in their statistics, Hockey Gods is a term of endearment for it, but you often see teams recognizing long winless streaks in situations). Back to point: this broadcaster finished the coverage by pointing out that the Rays where a powerhouse team during this bad spell & was framing this as a reason to not be totally hopeless or upset going into the next game in the series. The guy was being Supportive of his organization & that part was moreso his personal take rather than the collective broadcast team.
