how does the jacket has that stiff padded shoulders? how to do that?
would be great if the commentary was by the actual artist and not reduced to some very basic points for the purpose of a VO
I didn't really learn much here apart from how to get a limited result by literally following step by step instructions
what does "strengthen do"? How did you switch between all of the modes etc...there is so much silence in these videos while they leave you wondering what the heck is the person doing
Some videos are like this for advanced users/ users familiar with the software that want a shorter video. If you are looking for a follow-along structure with more explainations about tools check out the introdution and the basic garment playlists.
why is the lapel sewn onto the jacket like that? Lapels are folded over, t his design does not work in reality
Marvelous Designer bases the construction and patterning on real life methods but projects made in it do not have to follow those same rules. As these garments are not often meant to be made in reality as patterns or clothing and the software itself caters to 3D artists and their functional needs rather than real life; a design by a 3D artist doesn't necessarily have to work in real life or look like a normal pattern as long as the outcome is what the designer is wanting. The reason it is split the way it is, is because these seam lines can be merged and turned into fold rules in a single click which is easier to manipulate in 3D with a mouse. Why does the shirt disappear when I add the jacket in the beginning of the video?
If you are trying to import more than one "modular garment" it will be replaced by the next article of clothing if you do not "remove modular relationship", To do this you right-click the 2D window and select "remove Modular relationship" then once that is done you can bring in the next garment you want from the modular library.

please use a beefier PC next time. your sim is too slow. or just drop the sim particle distance... i mean you guys made this software right?
Wait, i've a Ryzen 2700X , 64g Ram, 2080 RTX and Samsung ssd. m2 and after adding objects become really slow as a well :D
