Miss Bluebeard is a surviving 1925 silent film comedy directed by Frank Tuttle and starring Ms. Bebe Daniels, then a successful comedienne at Paramount. It is based on a play, Little Miss Bluebeard, by Avery Hopwood. One of the very few Bebe Daniels’ extant vehicles of her heyday. It was later remade as Her Wedding Night in 1930 starring Clara Bow (I would love to watch this one someday but it's still unavailable online). Enjoy!

A really fun Bebe Daniels 💕romantic comedy! A bit of trivia: Diana Kane who plays the role of Gloria was born Roberta Wilson and was the younger sister of film star Lois Wilson. It was Bebe who suggested her name change circa 1924 after Diana/Roberta’s divorce from her abusive husband which was scandalous, especially in Chicago newspapers where they had lived. Diana/Roberta later was happily married to film director George Fitzmaurice until his passing in 1940.

Bedroom farces aren't my favorite kind of comedy, but I thought this one was adorable. Everyone was funny, from Bebe to the butler, and it was a great chance to enjoy Raymond Griffith's trademark physical romps. Any chance you can post his wonderful 'Hands Up'?
