Rucking was a little 'valley fight' that wasn't going anywhere when I was a kid so yes done a bit 😀 carrying shopping is more than enough weight training 😀 you have done brilliant mate! HUGE difference! Keep at it boyo 😀😀
Man, don't overload your joints....it's all about the food - fix the fuel and the rest simply follows......dramatically reduce any vegetable oil intake, dramatically reduce sugar intake, increase fibrous vegetable intake and stay away from processed foods, and move around normally i.e. walk without added weights and you will loose weight, and get fitter without the risk of overload injury. I've been there, done that and at 64 I look 40 (I was looking 70) and without an excess abuse or overload....Love your channel, thanks. carrying heavy weights hanging from your shoulders can cause pinched nerves (neck) and compact vertebrae/disks, especially if your torso's not muscular/toned. You might want to think about splitting the weight using ankle/wrist weights to lighten the load higher up. Will also strengthen different muscle groups. Just a thought...
Simply one word; Awsomness! And as a sidecomment; DIY, also awsome ;) (but indeed - concern about weight hitting back of your foot - put some rubber-stuff beneeth the weight, in the sack) Sidenote: Carried a 20kg battery from the barn into the house earlier today, and was WASTED carrying that weight. Can't imagine i used to have that weight permanently attached to my body some 1/2 year ago.... Weightreduction - makes life so much easier, if being overweight! (and all the rest of the benefits for health, of course)
Keep up the great work Tony! I haven't tried it yet myself, but I think that when I get to my last 10 lbs to lose, I may need to get a weighted vest to help push me to my goal.
This part of your walk looks quite nice. I wouldn't mind that section. Still too many cars though. I don't know how you put up with it. I don't take a backpack full of weights on walks and I don't think it would be fun, to be honest. If you want to increase heart rate, walking even faster would work better, surely. I do rowing for aerobic fitness and the walking for pleasure. Walking is fun and great for thinking about stuff. I think at this stage, you can just continue doing what you were doing and enjoy the walk. There is no need to make it hell with the weight. As winter comes, you are probably going to put on a bit of weight. I can go from 67kg to 70kg over the winter. However, you do what you think is best for you.
Hi! I'd be reluctant to give advice as I only have my experience... I experienced weight loss and general health improvement on both keto and vegetarian... the thing is, I suspect that the common denominator is actually cutting out processed food and sugar... no soda, no alcohol... it's tough, but I put my health above those things. Good luck!
@@theportugeeza you are so right sugar seems to be the main issue I can only manage 4 days meat only then a nice curry fri a few beers sat Sunday lunch then back to meat it keeps me trim ish haha
I think it's a good idea to devide the weight between your front and back. Especially if you are going to 20 kg. Then you don't have to compensate by leaning forward, and keep a more natural position for walking. But strap the weights tight to your body.

Great but gotta reduce the carbs n sugar too... Replace with those beautiful porteguese avacados n fresh eggs!
@@mykota2417 I honestly think the carbs thing is a myth... processed food and sugar, yes... but I eat rice every day... no problem.

10 Kg may sound like nothing, but it isn't. Anyone that doesn't believe this has to try!
