You gotta make sure the piezo is touching the underside of the top. If there is a gap you won't get as loud of a signal. If there is a gap lay down some more hot glue and it will fixed it. I build mine the way Del does and sometimes the pickup sounds weak and that has been the problem.
I don't glue them to the top. They are done the way Del does them in the top of the neck just under the bridge. But sometimes there is an air gap that makes the piezo not as loud. I don't have any trouble with feedback.
Hey Del, I'm a college student interested in building a CBG for myself. Would you recommend any of CB Gitty's beginner kits, such as the "Big Easy", which are basically tool-less?
I would recommend it, great place to start. I’m positive Del would too 🎼🎸 But after that, watch how Del builds. You’ll get it and you can go from scratch and take off

You get to much feedback gluing it to top of box
