Martin Sheenwas one handsome stud when he was younger. He still is. What an amazing actor he is. The accents he can imitate, the poetry that just trips off his tongue like he knows it by heart. It's too bad Doris asked for those curtains. It was a dead give away for the town. The two of them did a wonderful performance in this film. I too saw it in 1975 when I was 18. I never forgot it.❤
Thank you for posting this movie I watch this when I was a teen and I always remember this movie how great it was and all of a sudden there it is on UA-cam wow all these years later it's really good to watch this movie again Linda Blair Martin Sheen are great together really miss their acting 🙂
I saw this on tv when it came out. Haven't thought about it in awhile, but glad I found it on here! Great movie about life when times were simpler. Hard to believe that Linda had done the Exorcist just a yr or so before...
This movie has haunted me since I was a teen in '75. Martin Sheen was absolutely brilliant, with Linda Blair matching him .Such a tragedy. Fun fact: When first broadcast, the song "Strangers on a Carousel" was played without lyrics over the closing credits.
Martin Sheen is one of the most versatile actors ever, and he gives a great performance here. He plays a lost young man who is pretentious and tries too hard to be eccentric. I knew guys like that growing up. And it's interesting that this movie has such a similar story to Badlands which was released two years prior. This is not on the same level as Badlands, but it is a very good movie.
The Exorcist actually ruined her career. Directors didn’t think anyone would ever see her in any other role after watching her head spinning performance.
Been years since I saw this. Both she and Sheen are good actors but there is big flaw here. Any girl her age who be far more scared, knowing the awful things that could happen. Hated the ending.Blair was not only a good actor, she was someone you could relate to. She made you feel you could be like her.Just wish she hadnt been in so many hard to watch movies. I dont think the industry used her well.
He is and always seemed hyper in his roles. I remember him yelling a lot, and laughing a lot too with his signature gravely voice. He’s pretty alright 😊
A brilliant film ! Thank you 😊
I was 17 when I saw this in the movies with my Mom, I never ever forgot it , she loved it too.
I remember watching it with a ditz named Tammy when it came on.
I still have this movie
Gosh it is a classic. Linda Blair was ❤️

I was 17 I never ever forgot this movie
I agree I love him with long hair too
I had a crush on him on badlands and apocalypse now
I was completely enraptured by this as a teen. Thank you so much for posting it. Martin Sheen was so handsome.
I thought I was the only one. This film is COMPLETELY underrated. I never forgot it. And finally, at 63, I found it on utube to watch again.
One of my all time favorite movies, from when it first came out, 'til now, 2024.

Right, @ 16 she's hanging in there with one of the greats.

great performances by both Sheen and Blair...I have always liked Martin Sheen, he's a very good actor, and in this movie, he really kills it.

Great movie! Great cast! Martin Sheen was memorizing in this movie! Late great Mrs Chancellor!
Mesmerising as well 😉 but then, isn't he always? After all, he's a Leo 🦁
Jeanne Cooper, always wonderful
Made for TV movies from the early 70s were just awesome!
Sheen's delivery is impeccable, almost Shakespearean here. But Blair is the brave one, having to make out with a 44-year-old when she was only 16.
Born in 1940. He was 35. It's still a gap though.
If that had been me as a 16 year old, I would not have complained lol
I remember seeing this movie w lovely
Linda Blair ❤
As young girl 😮
This came on tv back in the 70s. I remember the advertisement for it said “ he kidnapped a girl and unleashed a woman” lol
Tamil movie guna ❣️kamal sir ❤11.10.00

Grew up in Penasco,New Mexico actually we lived down the road from the house in begging of movie
I loved this movie when it came out
This is " Xanadu". Wonderful.
Linda Blair is a great actress, it's a shame she didn't have better roles after the success of The Exorcist.
Well she did if you liked this one. Use your brain

I saw this movie last year I believe or in 2022 Linda did really good
10/10 I cried.
The mother played in young and the restless for years
I thought she looked familiar
Yes, and her son is Corbin Bernsen, also an actor.
Jeanne Cooper
His son Emilio Would have been about 13 when this was filmed. I wonder if he might have been hanging around the set that day...
Linda Blair for long time
I dont seen her
Loved the movie back then and now in 2024 /8/11❤
1:18:50 that music kicking in still gives me chills
Linda Blair was a natural beauty
Great movie I have it on VCR tape
Same 😂

I don't think she's complaining 😉 I appreciate what we've got. Exorcist could have been a one-hit wonder for her, since the book was soo much better!
Is this a case of Stockholm syndrome, I believe it's called. When the kidnapped becomes sympathetic towards the kidnapper.
Yasssss girl it is !! Yaaassss
Yes indeed
I just noticed that’s Catherine Chancellor as the mom
Such a tragedy.
Thankyou xx
Martin sheen
Sheen looks coked out, yet still he kills it! Too intense for ya? Enjoy the California Kid 1974..🖤😎
He is and always seemed hyper in his roles. I remember him yelling a lot, and laughing a lot too with his signature gravely voice. He’s pretty alright 😊
And thanks for posting!
Estoy enamorado de linda blair ❤❤❤❤❤
That’s some Stockholm Syndrome sh*t right there LOL
Emilio looks just like him
She’s a brat jajaja he’s funny crazy ❤
Man Charlie looks like him
Charlie looks NOTHING like him!! Emilio looks EXACTLY like him!!
jc is right. Emilio looks like his dad. Charlie was never that handsome, even before the drugs and disease.
They both look like him, Charlie has his voice and features but is darker while emilio has his coloring and resembles him
❤❤❤
