      Tbh easy for us to say when we are not playing for a career and not in their shoes for risk of injury. Yes “you can get injured for anything everyday”, but the risk is higher, just not worth the risk.
      I get it, us as fans would want to see all the best in the league be competitive in an all out game, it would be epic, but sadly and the reality is its the truth

  • @mark_kline

    They should make the game a college all star game for NFL Scouts or give the players a list of eligible free agents and they can choose one at their position to play in the game. Overall I just want to see players go hard. That’s the only way I can think that they would be incentivized to actually play for real.

    I’ve never had any interest in the pro bowl, and I think that’s because my family who watches football never went out of their way to see it. The NFL Commissioner and team owners can grow some balls and tell these employees that is under contract and getting paid millions of dollars to get ready for one more game if you are not seriously injured. These guys are not slaves. They are employees, well paid employees. They sign a contract to trade their time and talent for money like every other person in this country.

      The pro bowl means nothing, football is too taxing on the body to justify padding up and hitting in a meaningless game. Yes, they signed a contract, but they play one of the most violent sports on earth, with that in mind, you surely can understand why the players are hesitant to pad up and hit in the pro bowl.

    It seem the players that play now aren't as tuff as they use to be and are pampered more. It seems something like having a bruise keeps alot of players out for a game or two. Back in the good old days a players arm or leg could have puffed up to a pluses half it's normal size bigger and had no problem playing just as hard as they always had unlike what they do today.. Now they much more money than they ever had but cry because they have a bruise and won't play because they have a boo boo or a hang nail.... Just saying.

    • @SpecialTeamsSchool
      @SpecialTeamsSchool  Рік тому +1

      Yea that insight is interesting. But I think players have also learned to protect themselves more because one injury could ruin their whole career and these teams will easily throw them out. It's a balance.

    • @areguapiri
      @areguapiri Рік тому +1

      40+ years, players had to get back on the field or stay in the game when slightly injured because that was the only way to keep earning their much smaller paychecks. Nowadays, most players already have hundreds of thousands of dollars in their bank account. That immediately reduces the incentive to play.
