About correct usage of the language of a profession as bona fides: At a convention in Taipei, Taiwan, I once had the (air quotes) “pleasure” of having another American give me a demonstration of “ghosting” as used in interpretation. Well, guess what? I’m a retired Licensed Court Interpreter who has not only trained countless other LCIs who have gone on to great success in the T&I (translation and interpretation) field, but I also taught the subject at the university level and have trained medical and nursing students in T&I application in the medical fields. I was trained in Court and Medical Interpreting by a famous teacher at a world-famous language-oriented graduate school There’s no such thing as “ghosting” and I immediately knew the dude was a bullshitter. Sort of the T&I version of Stolen Valor: “I was a Green Beret SEAL in Iraqistan…"

Great video! I like how a Bona Fides can be used in so many applications. Also, it was helpful how you used a lot of examples to show it can be use for those who aren't in spy movie situations, but might be simple like picking someone up from the airport. Thanks.
Bona Fides reflect what's going on also, not only trust, makes it more clear than become unknown in certain activity, clear what's going on or what will takes place to proceed
Poor mind or thinking with strong physical training will not be good enough, without learning concepts, understand what's around you what's going on

The TRUE "bona fides" of a physician are his recommendations from MANY patients. There are way TOO MANY physicians out there that should never have a license. ASK AROUND in person, on the internet, check for malpractice lawsuits, how many places they have worked in the past 10 years, (hopefully only one or two), etc.
