Konark Sun Temple (Odia: କୋଣାର୍କ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ମନ୍ଦିର)is a 13th-century CE Sun Temple at Konark in Odisha, India. It is believed that the temple was built by king Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga Dynasty in 1255 CE.The temple complex is in the shape of a gigantic chariot, having elaborately carved stone wheels, pillars and walls. A major part of the structure is now in ruins. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has also featured on various list of Seven Wonders of India.

Whenever I am going to visit Konark will hire only this old Kaka as a guide. Looks he is a humble person.
Some people's feeling that his English or Hindi is not good...but I felt that his knowledge and explanation with so much of interest is more important. ...I got all info from his words and there is no issue with his language.
Who are going to Konark please give minimum RS 500 even though he charges less.
Agar ham ek hotel mein hum jate ho to min RS.50-100 tips dete hai... kyun na hum issko kuch thod jyada paise dene se ham thodi na bikari hojange. ...kyun doston? ?

This guide didn't show the stone carving of a Giraffe gifted to the King by the local business men. This relief work proved that Vasco De Gama (1498) was not the first man to discover water route to India. As in 12th century the business men of Odisha (Kalinga) were so good in navy that they could bring the strange animal Giraffe from Africa in water route which might have taken months. they were able to make the animal alive even after months of sea journey. So as it is claimed that Portugese were the first to discover water route to India might be wrong. The people of Odisha were the first to know the water route. Secondly, the guide should have shown the statue of the famous Konark Horse with a fighter which is also the state emblem. A pregnant lady doing post maternity treatment with fire is also missing. the hermits enjoying ladies is also missing. So overall the guide is not perfect as it is mentioned in the title. He has missed so many other beautiful things including the sun dial (not wheels), the nine planet (navagraha) statue, the main door of the temple which were build in a single granite black stone. he has not told even once that the temple was built inside water body in a sea which was first of its kind to be made at any place on earth. the magent story has no scientific or historical basis. it was only an assumption. The Aruna Stambha made in one stone (the stone pillar situated in front of Jagannath temple has been transferred from Konark sun temple.
SOMU SINGH you are right but he did what he was paid for so you can't say he isn't good. You could have said these guys missed a few important things which would have been apt instead of defaming this old guy for what is not show here in this video. Be little warm and kind!
