All I need now is for about 3 years to blow by so I can pick up a used 2-Door Rubicon Turbo that is reasonably priced ;)
creekhed1 and if we can wait 10 years, we'll get that with autotop for an XJ's price. Best Sucide Prevent line i ever heard
I'm thinking I'll have to wait 5 years. Maybe by then, I'll be able to afford one of the diesels they're bringing out next year.
I love the JL. I just bought a 12' JK and I'm thinking about trading up now... If the TJ and JK had a baby, this would be it and it's awesome. And 33's from the factory? Hell yes.
It’s not a fucking SUV , ITS A JEEP !!
SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. A Wrangler is an SUV, especially the 4 door models.
СУПЕР Автомобиль!!!!!!Красавчики кто Делает и ездит на этих Авто!!!!!!
love it ... and the v6 lives yes!
Oh yeah, and the Interior Designer, to quote him "Storage options", still no hooks in the back for your grocery bags. The dashboard compartment still is the same small size. They also removed the hooks above the cup holders in the rear seating area. Brilliant!
No hooks for the groceries? Oh no. Hope they didn't get rid of the tie downs for my ammo cans
Groceries? No hooks for your groceries?!! Heaven forbid!!! I think a Nissan Cube may be the right vehicle for you.
looks like the TJ, one of my favorite Jeep designs
Looks good
When today's design and technologies meet the long history of herritage
Beautiful jeep no doubt, but my JK gets me every time
Colorado is beautiful
Even better with the doors removed, bikini top installed, and a cold beer while driving through the forest at 5 mph average. 2016 JK Unlimited.
The Legend BR when the wonder how you died i'll show them this then they will understand why lol
Finally a jeep that worth the money you pay for a 2010 model.
I think it's cool if one day we will have a electric jeep. Imagine if we can use mobile solar panels in the woods to recharge the thing if we're stuck instead of bringing along large amounts of gas containers...
Beautiful and great Wrangler 2018 !
This will sit nicely with my 17 challenger 392.
And the battleship grey color is sweet
Jeeps are starting to become appealing!
Yes, to poser Millennials and soccer moms who will never go off road and the use the Jeep the way it was meant to be used.
@@fredpearson5204 ah, don’t tell people how to live their lives - if they want to use their Jeeps for strolling around the city, what’s the harm?
@@agatach87, can you read? I doubt it, or you wouldn't be making stupid comments about me "telling" people how to live their lives...which I didn't do. Having an opinion about how people use their Jeeps and telling them what to do are not the same thing. But thanks for playing, Karen.
@@fredpearson5204 🤣🤣🤣 Dude, don’t get your panties in a bunch 😅 Sorry if I hurt your feelings, didn’t expect you to be so sensitive - or wait, no, I did - you get triggered with how people use their cars…
It’s my favourite jeep since the TJ by far but most capable, no you can be a landrover, jeep, suzuki, Nissan or mitsubishi guy ect but no one can dispute a real 4x4 without modification and the same tyres they are all the same. Balancing differentials low range and solid axles.
Looks bad ass!!!
Looks great. Can't beat a jeep offroad
Swedish_Steel that's pretty unlikely. Also if you're gonna go after Jeep for being owned by Fiat then it's only fair game to go after Volvo for being owned by Geely. You know - that Chinese company that makes knockoff Rolls-Royces like the Roller and GE.
the us military replaced the jeep with the chevy k5 blazer and the humvee
Ben Dover In all of the US military, there were only around 150 G wagons (M1511) purchased... And they all went to the Marines... With only around 40 going into combat, and
In fact, more went to Japan than either Iraq or Afghanistan...
And while they did phase out the M151A2 "jeep" FAV, there were only a very limited number of them still in use at the time.. they had been out of production since 1982.
The HMMWV went into contract in 1983 as a direct replacement to the M151 (Truck, Utility, 1/4-Ton, 4×4), and had seen two conflicts before the G-wagon went into service in 1999.
Mercedes did not take over the primary role of Jeep... They were the successor of a very limited number of very specific use vehicals.
Also, it's probably fair to mention all "Jeep" variants produced after the early 60's, were built by Ford, AM General, or Kaiser.
I want a 2 door Rubicon so bad!
Thanks jeep. I own an 07 and have never had the windshield down. I cant wait!
The Rubicon looks like a winner, but will it be affordable??
Amazing suspension
I just bought a 2018 Rubicon. The Uconnect® 4 with 7-Inch Display has issues. CarPlay works on occasion, randomly switching to various media sources: XM, iPod, Radio, etc. No known remedy at this time by FCA.
This is the best vehicle
Super video.
HELL YA!
Que belleza de maquina
They’ve done everything right 👍🏾
Lol when i bought my Jeep i was originally looking for a challenger had the JK still been out i woulda never bought a Jeep the JL rubicon tho is beautiful interior and exterior.
comfort, style, ease of use. I'll be nice and wave as I drive by the mall.
i'm crying because 'Perfect TJ-CJ Hybrid' with a god damn autotop is born and also it costs over 50k on here. (And modding $$$ is fuq up even if i do many things myself)
Nailed it
nice Jeep
Love the new front end. Hated the flat boring jk grill. I want to know more about drive train. I hear the dreaded Dana 35 is back but it's a completely different axle. Tell me about that. I'm worried about creature comforts and more electronics breaking. I'm keeping my LJ, but if I can get a base model unlimited with a diesel in the next couple years, they'll get a purchase out of me.
Axles are improved, bigger tubes, moved back an extra inch for wheel base increase, and wheel wells are trimmed so you can stick 35's on stock. Yup!
looks s damn good
Imagine perfect silence in the wilderness with an all electric wrangler. Now that would be cool.
Nice to know u don't have to have the red in the Rubicon
what's the background music?I love it!!!
If they make a 4 Door truck with a diesel and a manual trans I'm all in!
I hope they made it tougher on the inside,I bought a new Jeep and the knobs keep breaking and they said you have to replace the whole unit but instead I just went on EBay and bought pretty much the same knobs for a couple of $$. Stuff like that Jeep should just replace in a service and not rip the customer a new one, over a couple of knobs.
Not feeling the lights on the fenders.
Looks awesome and It definitely is a true offroader..But I fear that for a v6 diesel 3doors Rubicon the price tag could be over 50k Euro..which is a bit too much for a car like this..let's wait then to see what they charge
New Wrangler - bringing rich city kids to road-reachable nature
Cant wait to get a set of those headlights an put them on my jk.
Ahoohi Better than factory LED headlights have been available since before the JK was released... I had a set on my 06 TJ... Why would you pay twice as much for a factory JL light, and hope it fits, when you can just buy a set of JWSpeaker lights that plug right in...
:Scratches head:
It's nice, but I do prefer the simplicity of the older ones. My 2000 TJ Sport 4.0 still runs like a top, so luckily I don't need a new one. Bought mine in 2008 for $9k, and oddly enough, I could sell it today for $9k. What other vehicle could you buy and use for 9 years, sell it if desired, and walk away even?
mmmm I don't think that 9k in 2000 were the same than 9k today....
Well, it was in 2008 I bought it, not in 2000. Regardless, no other vehicle I can think of can be driven for 9 years and can be sold for the same price it was bought for.
best suv ever? I hope no, and will be one of the best offroad ever
Is Jeep an Australian brand? the host gets me confused. lol
I wasn't a fan of the exterior design initially but it's growing on me. Best jeep yet. Bring on the diesel.
This music feels like Ford F150 music to me
good, because you just made every jeep fan mad
Just pop the hood yet again, cut all the battery/security cables and ta-da!
Steal whatever you want. Thanks Mark Allen.
Nevoexpo You don't know how stealing a car works do you? Cutting the battery doesn't grant you access to steal it...
People steal Wrangler Parts, that goes from Doors, to Hardtop, to Stereo, and much more.
Which is great, but if you listen to the way they are saying what they've done to the JL and you factor in that this is a 2018+ Vehicle, the Hood should be Secured from the Factory if one buys the Power Option... It shouldn't need an aftermarket product.
Since Used wrangler modding parts are super popular, why not steal an entire vehicle
Its a lot easier and quicker to steal parts then an entire vehicle, let alone a completely different operation altogether...
Badass
I'd really like to put my name down for a Rubicon, I want the offroad capability. Problem is I want a windscreen that doesn't fold, doors and windows which don't remove, a fixed roof built as part of the vehicle, won't leak and has roof bars. I might like all that if I was in Colorado or Arizona but I'm in Scotland. It's never dry, never warm and I want to pay less for not having those things.
Wow, this car looks like a Hot Wheel.
I wonder how much will it be...I recon i can afford it in 2025 when there will be good reviews
Anyone notice that leaf stuck in the grille of the cj5? How'd they miss that the thing looks like it came from pebble beach
Engineers working their butts off
It’s the best of all. And it’ll be....in future.
can you take the back seats out of the new 4 door and put them into a jk??
Love the new look but I have a feeling a lot of Jeep enthusiasts will hate where the blinkers are. What if one wants up modify the front and back side walls? Electrical will will be in the way and stop jeep owners from being able to modify the front sidewalls.
glassman204 previous jeeps had the marker lights on the fenders and that didn't stop anyone before. I'm sure they have an electrical connector to disconnect those lights when removing the fender flares, and that the aftermarket will have ones that plug into the same harness.
The turn signals and the tail lights protruding to the side are both, in my opinion...crap. They will get damaged very quickly.
why does the soft top bounce around when its down, theres no latch or locking mechanisim?
love my jeep jku and my jeep cj7 and cj5 but not a huge fan of the jl the inside looks exactly like the new Tacoma's not a huge fan I love the idea like the cj and jk how u can make them truly ur own and the jl there nothing that will change from each other for a while till manufactures make accssesories
Wranglers aren’t SUVs they are jeeps.
The title of the video is The Most Capable SUV Ever? Did I miss it or was there not one word about what--if anything--makes the 2018 more capable than the previous iteration?
JEEP THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING PROPER HEADLIGHTS on a Wrangler....the previous reflectors on a JK and prior were USELESS
wanner buy one
Yep, $16,000 worth of Jeep and $30,000 in options In less than 10 years the price has doubled.
A rubicon JKU was about 46K in 2015 what are they now? 58K? That is what happens when you start putting aluminum on.
Did they update Death Wobble for 2018?
Well at least they got rid of the violent gear knob shake ...Jeep stands for ending up inevitably in the workshop after a long trip ...😂😂😂 That u can bet
i don't see why the hood has to be flat to connect to the past. i would much prefer a sloping hood for better visibility and aerodynamics
MetaView7 the hood being higher in the front allows more clearance underneath for turbos/diesels.
Flat roof also allows the air intake to be as high as possible without a snorkal
A British dude talking about a Wrangler is just so foreign
My scion Xb can and has driven %99 those roads.
screw my financials I want one even if it means to live in it.
For 2018 we give you fancy lights and air vents!...
ntme9 If that's all you think has changed, you should watch a few more videos.
Does anyone know if I will be able to buy one of the new 2018 2dr soft tops and put it on my 2007 2dr wrangler
Commerical?
just the sound of the interior designers voice makes me rather just want to keep my jk
I hope the back seat of the jeep is more comfortable. So i can swing an episode.
※Many Off-road vehicles on market are quite capable as Wrangler since they issue Diff-Locks(if not, still 4low can handle nice trails) But, who takes their girl into trails as a stock vehicle. If mod, jeep wins. (i miss you kj)
For $25,000 you're out of your mind
I like the old look the future stuff is ugly
Yeah but that's what everyone says every time anything new comes out.
Not an SUV it's a Jeep
What is the song
Hopefully it finally has an option for a hemi.. Most people don't even take these things off road. They look good don't get me wrong but for most people that drive these to the mall that v6 is so anemic. At least give it the 5.7 as an option.
mlondon345 a v8 doesn't make sense for a Wrangler. Soon there will be options for a turbocharged 4-cyl and a diesel
"v6 is so anemic"
Maybe the automatic, but my manual jk has no problem accelerating. 285 HP is certainly not bad.
3.6 is a pretty potent v6 man it moves my grand Cherokee with the 8 speed along pretty damn well I was impressed. I know the previous 5 speeds where pigs with the same engine tho due to horrible gearing
AEV will swap a 5.7 into a wrangler for about 10K. Why would you is another question.
i would take a cj over this anyday
I heard it’s had two recalls already......
The rollbars on the 2 door lok a bit odd
I noticed that also, they didn't use tubing but square bar it appears
Has Mr. Interior Designer/ Baldy Mc. Wannabe tough guy jacket ever even driven a Jeep? Hint: We don't care about luxury packages, chrome accents, infotainments or premium features that add to the cost and complexity. Simpler is better.
But the 2L engine comes from Alfa Romeo. :)
Does it come in a Diesel? If it comes in a diesel you will sell shitloads of them in Australia!
david johnston Jeep's have always had diesel engine options in Australia... And every other country except the US.
answer to titles question: No
They need to have portal axle, it just feels like they are running out of ideas, if you can't update the looks, update the functionalities.
Very possibly, but I'm saying if Jeep actually started producing the portal axles. They wouldn't want to make the Jeep unaffordable and Jeep could produce them at a cheaper rate. Now aftermarket portals? Definitely over 10K.
According to Fourwheeler mag adding Portal axles would cost around 30K by the time you add all the other bits that would be required. I think the looks of a Wrangler is a product of function
jeep jeep jeep jeep
i want a jeep as my first car but my mom said no. her reasoning was that it can flip over easily and bc the doors come off they are much less protective and it gets bad gpm the gas mileage i understand, but the other stuff i think is bs. what do you think?
I’m sorry but I’ll stay with my TJ.
Patrick O'Grady People don’t realize how much of a downgrade this “brand new” Jeep is. Got a 2004 Rubicon with 200k miles and running strong. Best vehicle ever made.
Can someone tell me if this Jeep has an actual clutch pedal for the manual trans?
This year They just took it to a whole new level, looks stunning still maintaining the classic Jeep look
