Nasto why you couldn't do the water tank on the other side of the house closer to the kitchen that side is better.
If a septic tank can leak waste into a water tank, then it means the water tank is porous/permeable and will leak water out. It ought to be constructed so that the walls are impermeable, so it retains the water. If the theory of impermeabilty is used, then it stands to reason that the present location without the adjustment should not be a problem. The concern, however, is valid out of an abundance of caution.

I'm a long-time supporter of Mercy Ship African. The doctors and health care workers have discovered two major practices that unduly contribute to the death and illnesses amongst the population, especially their children. First, children suffering horrible burns 🔥 from the open, three brick burners. Kids simply being kids get severely burned. They suffer from burns and then lack proper medical care. Secondly, they cited contaminated water sources. The more rural the communities, the greater the propensity for contamination due to the lack of basic knowledge. I want to thank Nasto and Ms. Fle for at least listening!!
The water tank would suit on the other side near the small gate and that’s the safest ground without any impurities

Even if you just use the water just for bathing and not for drinking, that water will still be contaminated if it is built so close to a pit toilet. It is sad that nobody warned him not to build that underground storage so close to the toilet. Even Mayuguno made the same mistake. His underground water storage is right next to his pit toilet that he had built many months ago when he first built his first storage house. Contaminated water can kill you.
As long as you put concrete over the brick like Mayuganos underground tank you don't have to worry about how close it is to your toilet 🚽❤❤

Still the water tank is near septic as an aquatic expert the septic in the future is likely to weaken and there is always going to be some leakages and the waste will always mix up with the water, how about the waste from the house bathroom , how is it going to be channelled???

You wouldn't be able to use the water for showering or use in the kitchen if it becomes contaminated. Its best to move it further away. time consuming and costly, but definitely beneficial for your health, especially for your son.

Suggestion nasto stones would be the best for the walls and bottom of the tank walls should be at least 16niches thick and with the best waterproof sealment...Build it up 5feet above ground consider at least 35.000litre..the best investment 👍👍

Nasto why don't you build the tank on the other side of the house? Moreover that is the side you had said you hoped to install an overhead tank, so you would only need to pump a shorter distance from underground tank to the overhead.
I was thinking the same thing, the land is slope so the other side would be better for pumping to the pipes
NASTO, not to discourage you in anyway but knowing a thing or two about construction is awesome. The underground standing water fed from the roof is also a breathing ground for mosquitoes carrying malaria due to unfiltered foreign impurities in the roofing rain water. The water is not fed and filtered directly underground like a natural borehole.
Perfect place for a Gazebo over that underground tank. Saving land space for dream house, and future buildings.

Sorry didn’t catch the live live …Under ground water tank need’s great foundation remember take into consideration natural disasters like earthquakes ect ..So save build with steal in the four corners and great foundations water capacity it’s heavy.Think and ask few people and google so u will not make mistakes..It has to sealed properly…Go slow slow because u can’t revisit…Good luck with everything ❤❤❤❤Hoping u hit water while digging or gold 😂🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hi Nasto, try to make sure the water storage tank is very deep enough to hold enough water for your compound.. You will need to instruct the diggers..
