Personally my first suit was Gun EZ because I was worried about overcosting. Ended up loving the suit and it opened the way for me to enjoy more suits afterwards.
I went with the kampfer cause I dont wanna screw us over when I fly right into the enemies beam attack. Also it reduces my hesitation and panic during games because of the low cost.

For me Barbatos or Lupus are my mains. I'm a Unga Bunga rush down type of guy so being overly aggressive is kinda my thing. I care less about over engaging in shooting than just rushing in and overwhelming with mix. I guess everyone has their own niche, my Bro is on the exact opposite side of the spectrum. He plays Full Armor and just zones the hell out of everyone. For some reason I think certain characters just click with people. I can also play a mean Zaku Amazing because of this.
I'm surprised the Sumo (gold or silver honestly) isn't on this list. I feel like I am learning the game best on this suit and it's given me the best win results as well.
Unfortunately, online lobby or online match doesnt have a very good connection or internet, mostly de host game is from Japan, which others have to have a very good or better connection as them

Hi, I just wanna ask if I should leave my controls in default or make changes according to my liking. An example, I don't know whether should I get used to shooting with square, or going with my preference which is R1 to shoot.

If you wanna learn the basics, RX-78-2 and Freedom are objectively the best choices for a beginner to learn the ropes, this has been true ever since vanilla Extreme Versus. Do NOT touch 3k and 1.5k's till after you learn the ropes(zunda, fuwa, fuwastep, fuwafuwa,callouts, boost management, amekyan, map awareness, okizeme and burst management) otherwise you'll just be deadweight.

Xi Gundam. Perfect balance. Only drawback is being a big target.
I’d say build strike is very beginner friendly. He’s got good range game whilst having easy to learn yet flashy melee combos, and is pretty low cost.
When I first started playing gundam versus (which I still regret buying to those day), I started as Kappool..... Went full on rambo on the enemy team.

A trick: you can watch series on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

A lot of people switch off of defaults especially on pad
I use r2 to shoot and it seriously helped me improve
