It’s great to hear your story. A lot of parallels we drinkers have. I too hated school from my first day at primary. I took my first drink at aged 13 I remember it clearly. A quart or Bulmers Cider which I nervously asked the man at the corner shop for after much pacing up and down outside. I couldn’t believe my luck when he sold it me. And the rest is history. I went on to successfully ruin a lot of lives. Relationships. Jobs. I missed such a large portion of my life. But nowadays I’m sober it’s still a battle I still have to consciously decide not to drink. I miss it I admit but I just don’t want to go back there. We’ve all been to meetings and heard the stories of others the shame the guilt it’s so heavy a burden. But I’m living my life now … not just existing .. best wishes Jack😊
Such a candid explanation of your life, and was a fascinating insite. I was brought up in a drinking culture, not so much with my parents, but, the area of which I was raised. Pubs, nightclubs and anywhere else where we could obtain alcohol. If turn up for work next day, still hammered from night before. This was whilst playing plenty of sport, and I believe that my love for playing sport rescued me from a more serious life of alcohol. We all had lessons, and have had to learn from them. Well done gal, so proud of your achievements in life 😘😘😘
You have such a great story, and understand your battle with your troubles, and how you've overcome most of the issues. I did see your previous response, but, for some reason it disappeared from my screen. Really do hope that things work well for you, you're such a brave person. xxx
Interesting insight and best of luck finding graft and staying sober, I'm 57 and have socially drank since being 18 etc, just weekends , red wine these days, had some monster hangovers in my younger years, prefer a coffee and a nice pastry these days, keep going you'll grow👍🏻👍🏻

@@russ8544 I was never a pub/ club drinker. I always drank alone. Always trying to hide it but everyone knew. 🙄 😆
