The whole bathroom is gorgeous! Every aspect… perfection 😍
Looks good. Quick tip hack on doin silicone especially in bathrooms. Use a clove to apply it. It will last so much longer. If you use your skin, bacteria and oils from the skin will be left in the silicon and will get dirty/darken/mouldy much much quicker than if you use a glove or something similiar to apply it with.

I really like the three part series on relocating the bathroom . I especially like the Vanity that you builded and the color.
I've never seen wall paper done like that... use wallpaper paste and brush it on to back of paper.. then line up the edges... (no overlaps) over cut length then trim once lined up....
Well that's how us English folk do it....
Looked good but you should have left it just as drywall and lined the wall.. wallpapering on textured walls is a no no
If you knew what 12 inchs looked like he wouldn't be doing home renovations on UA-cam he be doing a different kind of renovation on the hub!

I love it. I wish more contractors, people would put insulation in the walls to help keep the sound in the bathrooms.
The stain is the perfect color for that color palette.

That was probably prepasted wallpaper which needs to be wet with water, booked and set for a few minutes before applying. They still make this type wallpaper - only kind I’ve ever hung. Don’t have much wallpaper in my house now but I know it’s coming back in style. Good job as usual!

When you do not have a sticky side on the wallpaper, you apply the glue on the paper, give it some time to become sticky. My parents taught me how to do this years ago.
Spent many years wallpapering with my dad as his summer job. Always roll or brush adhesive on to the backing. Let set about 10’minutes after gently folding the ends into them selves toward the middle.
Overlap the ceiling about a quart inch in case the ceiling isn’t level. Use box cutter and a straight edge to cut tip and bottom. Use smoothing brush and then roller for seams.
Overlap to find the match on the next piece. Make sure pattern is running in the same direction. I love that wallpaper is making a come back!
Props to tackling these jobs with ur significant other.. me and my wife usually end up fighting when we try assembling something lol
You can use a paintball barrel squeegee to stain in-between the slats.
Bathroom looks sharp. Only suggestion would be to throw some 2x6s in the walls between studs where you know you'll be mounting things (example: towel bars) so you don't need use those crappy plastic anchors that will inevitably work themselves loose.

The wallpaper, if it doesn't stick just smeer the paper in, fold it and let it soke for a minute or two/three. Then it will stick, promese you. Great job, love your bathroom!
Adding a wallpaper backsplash in my craft room soon. I had orange peel wall texture so I smoothed out the wall first using two coats of joint compound and sanding in between. It’s a pain, but necessary for wallpapering so that weird texture doesn’t come through and make the wallpaper look “bumpy”.

Its a busy space, but I do like the backsplash. DIY isn't going to be perfect. Considering this was once a closet, you guys did a great job. I know I don't have the skill or patience to do this.

Im curious as to why he did the orange peel texture on the wall when he was going to wallpaper over it… surely a smooth surface would have made the wallpapering much easier

I really love what you have done, although personally I probably would not have put wallpaper around the toilet. I have 3 guys in the family and they always have trouble aiming, cleaning would drive me mad.
I love the bathroom! The only thing I would have done differently is a cool wooden shelf stained to match the vanity above the toilet. Not a fan of things sitting on the toilet. Other than that, nicely done Mr. & Mrs.
I'm curious if you will regret not flattening the walls in a year or two. I've never done wallpaper before but it sounds like it could be bad after a few years to have texture.
I can’t imagine the wall paper looking good to the naked eye due to the texture. I think the camera hides a lot. But also it’s nowhere near full adhesion, I assume it will start falling within months

Hmm, the only thing I would change in the black tiles on the floor. Don’t like black things for the home much. And I love the rest of the colour scheme. I would have done the floor a greenish grey, not too dark instead of the black, keeping it in harmony or else a mocha colour to compliment the walls. 🤷♀️ but none of that matters: what matters is if you’re all happy with it! 😜
