The only reason why germany looks so strong in this match is cause he exactly knows what he is doing. Otherwise this civ is garbage in Age II for normal players. Doppelsoldner/Ulans/pikes etc. cannot match a (massive) musketeer rush in any way. He outmanaged him taking down his economy and distract the enemy thats the only reason he won.
I don't want to say he is a bad player he better than me but he needed to give all just to keep those musketeers starving.
Anyway Spain is only good in Age II or for a strong timing attack in Age III. This civ has one of the worst late-game eco compared to other civs. Compared tot the other basic civs france and britain... the spain players must use a strong early or early-mid strategy to have a chance.
I only know that if you go FF with spain you can destroy russian musketeers cause of their lower HP/Damage.
