This really doesn't say much when you consider that this entire subplot of Freddy getting deathly sick was kind of pointless in the sense that it completely strayed away from what was already going on. In other words, it contributed nothing to the plot of the FFFS. You could argue that it was a means of growing Puppet as a character but inserting an entirely new side plot wasn't all that necessary when there's already something substantial going on, and that's the disappearance of Toy Chica. Freddy's confidence was already in shambles because of that so why couldn't they have used that and applied it to the growth of both Freddy and Puppet as characters?
