I kinda always feel like they're just there, I never get a twenty one pilots vibe from them
idk about geoff but I know otto has said multiple times that he's usually quiet during interviews because he doesn't like talking into microphones. But I would like to hear more from them and their contributions, especially ottot as i have an interest in percussion

@@josepablodeleon6073 well i mean this interview specifically is about the lyrics of the songs n such n awsten is the one who wrote most of them but i get what ur saying cause even in interviews with the whole band just to ask questions in general it seems mostly like an interview just with awsten a majority of the time with some clips of otto and geoff talking every few minutes, however there are interviews where the interviewers ask like group questions n all that so everyone has a say in stuff throughout the whole interview but i cant disagree that awsten gets the most attention out of the rest not just in interviews. i dont think its awsten thats treating waterparks as a solo project, cause its also on interviewers sometimes as some might direct most questions towards awsten or just overall put more attention on him just because hes the lead singer. but otto n geoff still deserve the same amount of attention awsten gets nonetheless at all times.

i could listen to awsten talk about lyrics for hours honestly because every time we find out something new about how a song was written or the thoughts that went behind it it always makes me go and listen back to it again even more carefully and i always end up hearing something new i hadn't noticed was there before or hadnt fully appreciated til i knew its backstory lmao there's so much stuff in this album to unpack that's so interesting, it's one of those albums that feels like it has a release month instead of a release day because it literally takes over your life for a while whilst you get your head round it and ends up defining a period of your life that it'll always remind you of. ugh i could literally talk forever about albums like this they're so few and far between, lmao i need to stop gushing, basically long story short this album is amazing and full of bops the end👏👏

Y'all. I understand your complaints about Otto and Geoff not talking in interviews. But awsten wrote the songs. They're about how experiences and how feelings. Otto and Geoff may have had some creative input, but most of the lyrical content is from awsten. Of all the interviews to complain about, this one is not really an issue.

I dont think you understand how interviews like this work. whoever's doing the interview usually wants awsten to talk the most, since hes the lead singer, the most popular, and did the heavy lifting for the album. otto doesnt even like to talk at all. geoff and otto didnt write any of the songs, and this video is explaining the meaning of the songs, aka the writing.
i'm so late but i have some insight! geoff and otto prefer to just make music and perform. they don't necessarily like the fame that comes with it. awsten however is the front man and he takes on a lot of the more outspoken roles. he's also more of a lyricist than the other two, meaning he writes more often than not! i'm sure geoff and otto do a lot in the background. if they didn't, the band wouldn't be as functional
