Some really cool Maddux cards. I have never heard of “pitching a Maddux” until today. Complete game with less than 100 pitches. Montero did that tonight for the Tigers.
Again, great video, Allen! Love your super cool Greg Maddox pick up videos. I see what you did here with the music and the typing on the screen pretty fancy, sir!
Thanks Brian! Occasionally, COMC has some great deals on the Black Refractors but most of the time they are overpriced and just sit there. Patience is the key
The ‘08 Chrome Blue was a beautiful card. Love that you are completely cool with having multiples. And seek them out. The split screen was really cool. Nice pickups, Allen!
Thanks Andy! Definitely not the one I have the most multiples of. I buy the 2000 Bowman's Best just about every time. The base card has a refractor finish with a gold background. Typically you can find them for a quarter. I'd recommend the Frank Thomas for you
I was actually surprised when I looked it up, Maddux actually has more than Rickey Henderson. It isn't by much but definitely surprised. In addition, you have to put guardrails for player collecting and stick to them. Otherwise, it is an endless search
The biggest thing for me is the etching. It really began to deteriorate by the end of his career. 1999 was probably peak refractor for me. Thanks as always for watching
@@CollectingMaddux1987 It pretty much means losing more and more value as the years go by! Pitchers are quickly forgotten - heavy hitters live on in lore!

I saw that, it actually has to be a shutout as well. Maddux actually ended up pitching 13 over his career.
Beautiful Shine!!!!
I appreciate it, early Topps refractors are some of the best
Sweet stuff . Love all those refractors. Nothing better than all that shine
So many of the refractors are overpriced on COMC but it is nice to find a few reasonably priced
Great video and super pickups Allen. Those are more fantastic cards for your collection. Congrats and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ed! Late 90s was peak Topps for me
Another great 👍 one ☝️ 🎉
Thanks 😊
Fantastic additions to the collection! Have a great week!
COMC has been a great place to expand my collection, shipping alone has been a life saver

Still working on the editing a little bit but I think I'm getting there. I still want to work on the lighting and debating on the use of music
@@CollectingMaddux1987 I get that! It’s have tried a few things but I didn’t like what I tried 😁 What do you use for recording?
For recording I'm using OBS studio and for editing DaVinci resolve. Both are free software
Sweet additions man love it 🔥
Appreciate it! COMC is awesome for picking up these $1 to $10 cards
Gave a video like. Holy smokes! Lots of great adds here! The '97 Matrix and the black refractor were my favs!

@@CollectingMaddux1987 True indeed, patience is key
Some awesome pickups here. Love the shine! That ‘98 No Protector refractor is really nice
The no protectors are a difficult one. But dual sided refractors add that extra bit of pizzazz
Some more awesome maddux additions. Liking your new editing, great stuffb
Thanks Mike, still working on my editing skills but I prefer the flow of these PC pickups better.

Awesome stuff dude! ❤ you have a SICK Maddux collection that seems never ending! 🤛🏻
Definitely have to be a little crazy to player collect. But it's great because you get to see all the designs throughout that time period
I am still amazed there are that many different Maddux cards.

Nice video sweet greg Maddux collection
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
Beautiful additions to the collection! I completely forgot that he played for the Padres!
It was a brief stay with the Padres, but like most players, he bounced around at the end of his career
I know nothing about this era of cards but these were really cool to see. Nice pickups!
Thanks Mark! I'll try to show some more Maddux in a Dodgers uniform next time 😀
Geats showcase Allen!
Thanks Warren, I appreciate the support
Nice pickups, Allen! I saw a lot of shiny goodness there. You can definitely tell the difference in the shine of the refractors. Later, my friend!

Great additions. Love the Stadium Club Matrix. I still need the Bernie Williams Matrix.
Thanks Victor! The Matrix is a great card to add to the collection.
Wow Allen, big hall of cards! Congrats my friend, very cool!
Great looking through these as well. Lots of them I had sitting at COMC for 6 months
I used to collect Greg Maddux! His card values do not get the respect he deserves!!!!!
That is fine by me, hopefully the values continue to be cheaper compared to batters
