Perhaps a contraversial statement, but after hearing this song for the last several months Ive come to the conclusion that lyrically this is the best pearl jam song ever, at least in my opinion. I cant think of another song that paints a picture and uses such intelligent metaphores. Vocally and lyrically this song is as close to perfect as I think I'll ever hear. Amazing.

Eddie has gone stale in his solo song writing I hate to admit I am bored as hell of his last 10 year status quo sound that infiltrated that most recent PJ album to not be very good as well. He doesn't span huge range in his solo work, his vocals are lazy-style in his solo work. He is my template as a vocalist who whoops as, I learned so much from him, but yeah I am not big on the post-INTO THE WILD sound.

I agree. Another two of my favorite meaningful lyrics are just breathe and Jeremy. Both explain a story with their lyrics in such a unique way
