It was my 1st in Malta's national finals, 1st in OAGE and would be in top 3 of contest. I don't say that Ira was bad, but Brooke SLAYED ALL THE WAY! She was outstanding!
Problem is, a lot of maltese are blind to the fact that when they see a fantastic song like Brooke's and then the island's biggest celebrity comes on, they parade the biggest celebrity and forget about the better song
That's very true, at the same time Ira had a lot of supporters that when they were about to announce the winner I had a feeling that Brooke was going to win but a lot of people shouted chameleon which made the host make Ira win.That's my theory.But like you said they chose it for her not the song

She owned the show, she was robbed unfortunately the maltese people vote for the artist not for the song. This year she has a potential song that will be top 5 in liverpool and make malta proud agian after so many dissapointments. Good luck

Hell, was I mad when this lost the Maltese Final in 2016! I was so relieved when Ira Losco changed her song later, though.
Though Ira's song is in my top 5 in 2016 (The esc itself), if Brooke had competed, it would def be in my top 3
