Or even modeling. That's part of why I want to learn to speak and narrate well. Not to rub it into my future students' faces that I'm simply better than they are, but to possibly help create a passion for clear communication and engaging narration to them.

I have a playlist of reading bible books on my channel page. i do think it helps to be a good reader. Yet if the Holy Spirit is absent leading the hearer even the best readers wont make a difference except maybe planting a see for later when their hearts do come open. Not our works that pricks the hearts but with the Spirit.:) I will sub to you and if you upload will check out your bible videos.:) I think feeling the stories as if you can visual them as a real life story( since they were) pleases the listeners. What do you think?

I find that when I read aloud I'm not very convincing. Even if I try to be entertaining, it just seems off like a child in a bad movie who doesn't know how to act and you can just tell that they're reading lines.

I wrote a short story for school, but thought that people wouldn't understand the feelings I want to address in my story if I read it in my normal voice. That's why I'm here :).

I only read books in my mind and each character has their own unique voice. If I read out loud, I can't tell what I just read and I have to repeat the sentence over and over again until I understand it. I think thats because of my ASD

I have a deep love for stories, written and spoken, and thus, I love reading. I also love sharing that with other people. Knowing that I will someday have a wife and children, and that someday I will have students, I want to be able to take a written story and breathe new life into it through good narration. So, thank you for this video! This video is what I have been looking for!

...hmmm.... check my channel. I nearly finished reading all the Harry Potter books and picked up stuff along the way. Things that helped me:
    - Read about 90% of your normal pace. You make less mistakes.
    - Scan to the next punctuation, then glance away from the writing... its hard to explain, but you instantly remember the next 5 to 6 words, so you "act them out."

Thank you for this! I am reading to my wife and started great, but as we near the end of the book I find myself stumbling and misreading often or missing the right tone - I really want the end of the book to hit and i think this will help :) i expect her to cry like a baby at "stay gold ponyboy"

Any advice for this would be great! Hope it's something that can be understood and developed

Is English punctuation simple? My (German) English teachers were quite reluctant to teach us punctuation. I think my (American) English teacher in the university taught us a little bit about punctuation but never in comprehensive details.

What's the problem yith the audio of this video? every time she pause speaking there is a sudden break in the background sound, witch is very disrupting and make more difficult to concentrate in listening to what she says, and yet it's an ineresting speach
