Or even modeling. That's part of why I want to learn to speak and narrate well. Not to rub it into my future students' faces that I'm simply better than they are, but to possibly help create a passion for clear communication and engaging narration to them.
I have a playlist of reading bible books on my channel page. i do think it helps to be a good reader. Yet if the Holy Spirit is absent leading the hearer even the best readers wont make a difference except maybe planting a see for later when their hearts do come open. Not our works that pricks the hearts but with the Spirit.:) I will sub to you and if you upload will check out your bible videos.:) I think feeling the stories as if you can visual them as a real life story( since they were) pleases the listeners. What do you think?
I find that when I read aloud I'm not very convincing. Even if I try to be entertaining, it just seems off like a child in a bad movie who doesn't know how to act and you can just tell that they're reading lines.
I wrote a short story for school, but thought that people wouldn't understand the feelings I want to address in my story if I read it in my normal voice. That's why I'm here :).
I only read books in my mind and each character has their own unique voice. If I read out loud, I can't tell what I just read and I have to repeat the sentence over and over again until I understand it. I think thats because of my ASD
I have a deep love for stories, written and spoken, and thus, I love reading. I also love sharing that with other people. Knowing that I will someday have a wife and children, and that someday I will have students, I want to be able to take a written story and breathe new life into it through good narration. So, thank you for this video! This video is what I have been looking for!
...hmmm.... check my channel. I nearly finished reading all the Harry Potter books and picked up stuff along the way. Things that helped me: - Read about 90% of your normal pace. You make less mistakes. - Scan to the next punctuation, then glance away from the writing... its hard to explain, but you instantly remember the next 5 to 6 words, so you "act them out."
Thank you for this! I am reading to my wife and started great, but as we near the end of the book I find myself stumbling and misreading often or missing the right tone - I really want the end of the book to hit and i think this will help :) i expect her to cry like a baby at "stay gold ponyboy"
Is it normal if you forget much of what you are reading? I'm trying to read a segment from a newspaper and I find I'm not really making sense of what jm reading (after I've just read it). Any advice for this would be great! Hope it's something that can be understood and developed
Is English punctuation simple? My (German) English teachers were quite reluctant to teach us punctuation. I think my (American) English teacher in the university taught us a little bit about punctuation but never in comprehensive details.
thank you so much! Im doing much research on this because I am a new narrator for audible and I am looking up tips to help me get hired and more gigs. I plan to start uploading my readings to my channel too. :-)
What's the problem yith the audio of this video? every time she pause speaking there is a sudden break in the background sound, witch is very disrupting and make more difficult to concentrate in listening to what she says, and yet it's an ineresting speach
Good. But i think much better if you show more example. I don't want leasining rules,i want leasining your life expiriense. You need don't speak about reading.I think you must reading crazy book, story, dialog in your youtube video. More example, and more pushing voise. Good luck. And thanks

Jade, your facial animation, glasses and upbeat tempo makes this video easier to watch than some of the others.
Your videos are amazing! You're so underrated! You thankfully have given me the courage to read a book in front of my classmates.
Thanks :)
My wife wants me to read her smut books to her at night before bed, so here I am looking for tips lmao

The tip on paying attention to where the punctuation/pauses are going to come in was a great tip!
bless you and the closed captions on this video. Thank you!
When I read aloud I sound rediculous but it helps my comprehension tremendously. I overthink at times and get distracted by reading silently
You Jade, are your own best example.
It's a great video. Great information. Thank you.
Those glasses of yours look really good on you!
The cat painting behind you is so dope.
Was it Coraline's cat at the back?

Recording myself reading my boyfriends favorite book for his Valentine’s Day present and I sound kinda boring while I’m reading it
It might be better practising one part of the book and doing it really well. The whole thing is a huge undertaking.
thank you for your help I love your accent.
Always the best, Jade. Michael
What I like to do with my reading I like to play around with my voice like voice acting
I do too. Especially horror novels , makes the story more vivid.
Honestly, a British accent always works for me.
your voice is good

What's the problem yith the audio of this video? every time she pause speaking there is a sudden break in the background sound, witch is very disrupting and make more difficult to concentrate in listening to what she says, and yet it's an ineresting speach
It's not the audio it's just that the video has been edited there so it is more coherent
Jade...What university did you graduate from? :))
I disagree, a description has its puropse, otherwise the author would not have put it there.
Haha I saw shy bear.
beautiful woman
I fancy you.
Good. But i think much better if you show more example. I don't want leasining rules,i want leasining your life expiriense.
You need don't speak about reading.I think you must reading crazy book, story, dialog in your youtube video.

Arh just get a life. Your life is boring.
It's ironic because her accent is somewhat difficult to understand.
Your Voice Sounds very high and shrill sometimes.
