Gw: Great argument, but money.
I don't think GW should be trying to herowash what they spent decades setting up as "The cruelest, most bloody regime imaginable".
But GW wants 40k to become Herohammer as well. Look at the World Eaters rules, their army doesn't function without the inclusion of Angron.
The problem with 40k is that what was once parody is increasingly becoming reality. It’s like Onion News, it doesn’t work the same when reality is more absurd than fiction. If British culture increasingly forgets itself, something like 40k based on it begins to forget itself. And the American market increasingly becomes the focal point, which explains everything becoming how it is now as it adapts to their tastes.
And not just 40k, but pretty much every IP in the West. Sad.
I wanted the end times. I agree with the loyalists returning should of never happened.

I have nothing against Cadia, but do get annoyed as a guard fan that in a setting where there are literally as many regiments as stars in the sky, its 95% Cadian and 5% Krieg.
@@coiler3927 I don't have a problem with Cadia either normally. My problem is GW simplifying the setting because money and turning the Cadians into a lamer version of the mobile Infantry.
@@TheNamelessScholarOfficial Of course, the real nightmare to me is the Sisters. A whole rainbow of orders canonically, but it's all white-haired black armored Martyred Ladies in art. Imagine if the Ultramarine problem was 20 million times worse.
@coiler3927 What they succeeded with Guard they also succeeded with Sisters. When they do have say, Black sisters, they all look like Samuel L. Jackson cosplaying as a Sister of Battle.

i m pretty sure the Kaldor Draigo scarring the heart of Mortarion was retconned. To be jonest, I liked it, but I would have loved that they give us more reasons as to why Kaldor Draigo, or the Grey Knights grand master in general, is capable of such a feat.
At the time, before the custodians coming back to 40k and the primarch(s) return, there wasn t too much active legendary figure able to do something like that, and honestly, this is f*****g cool, I buy the lone daemon-hunter vibe, eternally cursed to roam in the warp until death.
Just don t forget, he beat Daemon Mortarion as a grey knight, you cannot be sure that kaldor Draigo could do the same against any mortal one.
So I started collecting the Black Templars because of the hatred they can draw from people. Now I am totally loving the faction and reading Helsreach...again.
I am hesitant to read any of the more recent books involving the Templars because I don't really trust GW to leave them be.
Read Damnation Crusade. It's peak.
I will say that GW did retcon Cawl wiping out the legion quirks - red thirst etc - though it was clearly because they'd gotten pushback/finally realised it was absolutely idiotic.

@jobe5514 and if memory serves, at the start of 10th, they added that the Primaris have a 51% successful conversion rate realising that the Primaris at this point replaced the firstborn to the point there are more primaris than there ever was firstborn ever.
