How to make the LIGHTNING WAND! 2020 | Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) 💜

- Heyyo! I've basically met some people that have always wanted the lightning stick! If you're out of the loop, the lightning stick is basically an item that you can use to summon lightning where ever you want!
I've seen videos in showing on how to make the lightning stick, but they don't work that well! Some of them, you cannot control the direction, others will crash your game if you have made the wrong move!
So, by watching other people on commands and a lot of things, I have found out a way on how to do it! I am gonna say that I do not know if someone has already made a video with the same commands, I just have thought of this myself and I just wanted to show you guys!

Hello! To people still asking questions and don't even bother to read my replies to the other people that asked:
1. You can make it only work for one specific tool, just remove the unbreaking and change it to something more useless like band of arthropods or smite.
2. You can use it when really far away by using the tickingarea command
3. It's lightning, you can't change it to fire or any other thing. It has to be an entity.
4. You can change the range by changing the last numbers to any number you want, for example; '^ ^ ^40
5. Just like rrightnow said: this is the command in Java: "the execute command would be: /execute at [Name] run summon minecraft:lightning_bolt ^ ^ ^25"
6. To remove the annoying text that comes up. The command is: /gamerule commandblockoutput false
7. it only works on enchantable items.
8. It DOES work on Xbox. In fact, it works on Switch and PS4 too! You may ask, how? Because it's BEDROCK.
9. If you have done my tutorial and it doesn't work, please just don't comment "doesn't work". Because it just won't help someone looking for an answer if you're not gonna say anything useful. If it doesn't work, you either have done something wrong, they fixed it, a bug is making it not work, or you have a different version.

If you're on bedrock, then I don't think it's possible. But if you're on Java edition, I think you can download a pluggin or search for a different tutorial on youtube
because this is the closest I can get to making it possible on bedrock edition
I added ender_dragon instead of lightning_bolt...minecraft.. reasonablly crashed
In Java, the execute command would be: /execute at [Name] run summon minecraft:lightning_bolt ^ ^ ^25

Dont know if u have found out how but you do /tickingarea add (first coords, second coords) "name" and now the command will work anywhere u are even if ur in another dimension!

I was wondering how to fix the syntax error : Unexpected @p at Execute, I tried entering my own username and the same thjng still happens except now it just shows my username.
It seems like any type of @ doesnt work after execute anymore and I have no idea why, if you could teach me how to fix this it will help me alot

Only problem is it works with any enchantablr item you hold, which I don’t want
Then replace the unbreaking with smite or bane of arthropods. After that if you don't want a weapon to be shooting lightning, enchant it with at least sharpness 1.
Okay, so I did everything, but it still didn't work. I went through the comment section and used the command that @rrightnow said to use in Java. Whenever I pulled out the sword the comparator didn't light up? But the enchantment was still placed on the sword.
I personally think it's Java that's not making the comparator glow? I'm gonna be honest I've never tried it on Java.. I apologize if this video was a waste of your time! I'll probably try to find a way to make it in Java.
@@Aykarimatzu Thank you. And it's okay. I was hopeful as I had tried about 3 other ways before reaching yours. But so far, I at least know the lighting command works as I had placed the lever on the lightning command block and had accidentally set alight the forest

Hello! If you actually read my pinned comment, you would know that it won't work on fire. Because fire is not an entity, and the command only works with entities!

IT WORKED!!! But is it possible to make it only Enchant my Netherite Hoe? (The Weapon I chose to make summon lightning) Whenever I pull out a different weapon Example: Iron Pickaxes, That will enchant itself and shoot lightning too. Anyway to make it only enchant certain items?

Sorry that's not possible on all editions except Java.

Well, it works on lightning bolts. But it only works on tools that can be enchanted with unbreaking. Also you cannot manually activate it, it works automatically.

Sorry that's not possible. It doesn't work when you're far because Minecraft unloads chunks when you're far away from them. That's a problem that you cannot escape.

This video is great and all, there is just one problem, The lightning always summons exactly 25 blocks away (or whatever you put in the command) and I was wondering if it was possible to make it so that the lightning is summoned at different distances like say, from 25 to right at your feet
this is AMAZING I but it on my sword then changed it from lightning_bolt ^ ^ ^15 to tnt_minecart ^ ^ ^15 minecraft:on_instant_prime

If I want one sword that can summon lightning and one sword that just does normal sword things and doesn’t summon lightning what would I have to do?
Replace the unreaking inside the command block with smite, then if you want a normal sword just enchant it with sharpness

That's just how Minecraft works, you can't prevent that other than /tickingarea
