pro tip: if you spawn a superspeedway car, then go into vehicle configuration, then front clip, engine, and intake, you can remove the restrictor plate and the car goes extremely fast. same goes with vice versa for other cars. plate racing a short track car is almost street legal💀💀
Good to know the wait was worth it, I enjoyed working on the mod alongside the many others who put so much time and care into this. We may not have a Nascar game this year, so I hope this is a good substitute.
heres how I set up ai first click f11 and spawn cars then record lines going around the track for the other cars then save them (if you want) then play all recordings then hit f11 again and then race with them
For the replay system you need to go in to the ui apps menu and place it where you would like it to be. You can then press the record button and save it once you are done. The replays do have quite a large file size though.
AI isn't great for racing in BeamNG, but there is the BeamMP multiplayer mod which works shockingly well, maybe look into that? Also look into the driver aids in Options, and not just traction control or ABS: there's very advanced steering help too that will make controllers much better for high speed racing also also: the high horsepower engine is "what if we took the tapered spacer completely off?" which, I don't know what number they came up with for the physics, but IRL I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is 4 digits

half shaft is the rear axle. used to it was one piece now its two with IRS so they call it a half shaft. You hear it called half shaft a lot more in indycar rather than Nascar.
Hey Radman Beam Has a career mode and would love to see you try that out sometime. It says it's coming soon but if you click it a few times it will actually send you into the career mode. And it's pretty cool actually with the amount of work and detail it's been given.

I know it will never happen, but the 2 things I have wanted in a nascar video game since I started playing them (2001) was a realistic damage model and realistic flips. I have never played a game where this was possible (never could play Nr2003). To me a majority of console nascar games; imo, have terrible crash physics that are very unrealistic. The chase camera never knows where to look, the car does some weird sea-saw type of flip bouncing off the ground. If my car gets into the catch-fence, it should shred apart. Crumple zones should be unique to the crash, not one hit fits all. To me BeamNG is easily the pinnacle of crash physics/damage models.

the ai is not set up on all maps, for some you have to manually record the ai driving yourself and then it will drive how you told it to.

im not sure for the ai, i believe you might have to map the ai for each modded map. But multiplayer races with this would be so fing cool
for ai doing racing like in those videos they use a custom line the make using f11 and drive all the cars lines which takes a decent bit of time.
