Great video. Love the triple seven and long houl flights. Just a little info about CYVR. Pretty well every landing that happens at CYVR is on runway 8L/24R and all takeoffs are done on 8R/24L. Love you videos keep up the great work.
Having flown into Vancouver at this time of year before that's a very typical looking approach. I remember staring out the window wondering when we were landing, seeing wisps of cloud and fog navigate the wing surfaces, and then suddenly its parking lot lights, some grass, and we're down.
fantastic video. awesome editing and great views over the ocean. You stand out among the many other flightsimmers making the same kind of videos. I rarely watch an entire video of the kind but I did for yours! Great job!
default of vancouver sux big time..want to see a real crime? Go to default Kamloops, BC Canada...looks like an airport and campsite. Ewwww just makes me cringe.
X-Plane user here. This makes me want to get P3D installed again. I owned P3D 2.4, so I was hesitant to buy v3. But I'm loving your settings/addons. I already own Orbx Global+Vector+PMDG, I'm so close!
Brady Margeson I used to live in Canada when I was little but only for like a year or 2 so I don't have the accent and have more a British one,you wouldn't expect me to be canaidian
Wow, I'm an Xplane 11 fan but this was the best I have ever seen! I found it hard to believe I was on a sim flight, you're proficiency was top notch, how did you learn so much? Great job, great video editing and perfect music score! 10/10 mate! I was hoping for clear skies as I live at CYXX just up the valley from CYVR, typical cloudy arrival, I'm surprised it wasn't raining like usual, lol! Thanks for a safe journey and I'm now clicking "Subscribe!"👍😜👨🏼✈️🏆🛩🛬🛫✈️
Matt not sure if you know, but if you click things like the RNWY turnoffs, auto throttle or the landing lights with the middle mouse button, all three/two will turn off at once
I've actually been on this exact same flight in real life! Except when I went on it it was a 777-300ER. Took a whole 15 hours and 57 minutes. Thanks for the strong head wind mother mature hahahaha
I wish Chewwy would fly GA around Vancouver in Ortho...fly past Hope easterly and see if the Great Hope Slide is seen...1960. That a great airport rendition of CYVR!
Nice vid. Hint, operational procedure for setting the trim pre-takeoff is through the switches on the yoke, not the trim levers. In the real aircraft these levers are also very heavy to operate so you wouldn't want to use them if not needed ;-) (source: 777 full flight sim developer)
Great video! I really like your theme of doing long haul flights. Could you make an ultra long haul flight using the PMDG 737NGX? I'd love to see you really push the range limit of the aircraft and see you perform a MTOW takeoff. Hope to see you do a video like that soon!
Lovely scenery buddy! Really wish my FSX looked like that, maybe I'll look into it as an investment for the future. I was at Heathrow on Monday and I saw and caught my first Air Canada 777-200LR, and they are great! It was C-FIUJ if I remember correctly.
Great video, thanks. Is there any secret to getting GSX working with the 777, Ive tried everything, no help from support. Also....any chance of doing a Chase Plane setup tutorial?
I've not had any trouble with GSX and the 777. Does it work with other aircraft? Try reinstalling GSX and also the entire couatl addon manager to see if that helps. In terms of ChasePlane, I will probably do some content on it when it is fully released as it is only in Alpha stage now and a lot of features are yet to come!
Yes works with ALL other airliners NGX, AS Airbus TFDi 717. 777 the only one it doesn't work with and yes I've lost count of all the times I reinstalled with latest downloader and live update in P3D.
I have the PMDG 777-200LR Base Package, and sometimes when I start up P3D, I get great engine sounds for the start up, takeoff, pushback ground crew voices etc. just like how you would hear in real life. However, most of the time during takeoff the engine sounds like it is still around idle, the power goes up, but I don't get the sweet GE-90 sound as you would hear in real life. Also, along with this, sometimes the ground crew voices don't play, instead it just shows moving text at the top of my screen. So about 60% of the time I get great sounds, and 40% of the time I don't. I have a feeling it has something to do with the sound options in the FMC, but I'm not sure. Could anyone help me please?
Active sky is good with weather however EZdok will solve my problem on the turning of the PMDG because the camera always moves out of Place on the PMDG
Great video. I thought at decision height, the call should be landing not continuing? Either you are landing or going around. Just a thought! By the way, I'm a 21 year military air traffic controller.
I've been actively asking members of my community this question since reading your comment, and I'm afraid to say your 21 years as a military air traffic controller didn't give you much help with the commercial side of things! It is purely SOP based. There are various airlines who class "continue" or "continuing" as a valid response to reaching the DA. I entirely see your point, however I didn't pluck the word out of thin air to use as I have heard it being used myself, as have a lot of my viewers after quizzing them on this topic during a livestream. An interesting topic all the same :)
Wasn't trying to arm chair quarterback. Was asking to better understand. I had never heard anyone say that before as a pilot. I as a controller have to an aircraft to "continue" but that was at 6 miles. For the military not having experience will civilian aircraft, obviously you've never heard of: AF Plant 42, Palmdale, CACharleston AFB, Charleston, SCDover AFB, Dover, DEEglin AFB, Valparaiso, FLGrissom AFB, Peru, INKelly/Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TXMarch ARB, Riverside, CAScott AFB (Mid America), Belleville, ILSheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, TXWestover ARB, Chicopee, MAArmyBlackstone AAF (Ft. I am getting a new gaming pc over the weekend. a I7 6700 4 core and a GTX 950 2gb with 12 gb ddr4 ram. Will I have problems with p3d and which version should i ideally be using, can I use the latest version? Also when it comes down to it, I notice your using GSX and PMDG 777, how much of an impact would you reckon this would have on the new pc? Also i know this sounds silly, but I have never used the onboard computer before, how long does it take to get used to it? At the moment i am using a mid range pc, nothing special, certainly nothing like the new pc that is coming and also using FSX..still trying to learn how to land using ILR , which when watching videos looks easier than it really is, I have tried landing around 50 times, and for some reason i get really confused on the final bit and i get all mixed up and it is not pretty..someone said it can take over a thousand landings to get it right even with ILS is this true? Sorry for all the questions, but you seem to be a really competent pilot in p3d so I thought I could try to pick your brains on some things? Awesome video though, 13 hour real time flight, that takes some serious dedication. just such an amazing video and time lapse.
It would be fantastic if you could do a couple flights in or out of CYYZ, especially if you have FlyTampa's rendition. Fantastic airport. There is a large section of international routes to fly out of there!
Hey mate, I have a problem with my chase plane, when I drive a heavy aircraft (like pmdg 777) and take a right or a left turn, My camera moves out of my captain seat. It isn't stable .Can anyone help me?
Check for some definitions for these, it will help you: - Indicated Air Speed (IAS) - Calibrated Air Speed (CAS) - Equivalent Air Speed (EAS) - True Air Speed (TAS) - Ground Speed (GS) I don't know which of them shows on the B777, but it should be IAS, CAS or EAS.
And yeah, it says 260 kts, but if you look at the display on the right, on the upper left corner, it says GS 489, that is his Ground Speed. Ground speed is much more greater because he is very high, and the air density is less, and it depends too on the wind.
i need a help. When i select approach and i go to the legs i have something "ROUTE DISCONTINUITY" what i need to do here? And when I just put way point which is after that my approach is very difficult and hard and my plane won't follow that

Hello Chewwy94, I am new on your channel. I use FSX for my flight simulations. I was wondering, did you actually sit through the 13 hours of flight? If not, how do you get past the cruising time of the flight? (do you speed up the simulation?) Thanks!
FlightSimmer 711 Get a capture card that goes in a PCIe slot (i recommend Elgato HD60 Pro) then put that capture card in the streaming PC - from there plug the hdmi from the GPU on the Gaming PC to the elgato, then another HDMI from the elgato to the Gaming PC. I don't know what I have said is fully correct, but you'll definitely need a capture card to answer your question
I got a question, when parking, you got there that visual signalization thing (sorry that I do not know the name of it), do you have addons for this, or is it a common thing at airports in P3D? Can I get this in FSX? :D BTW, nice vid.
Hi ! please tell me much amount you have fps in 1920x1080 resolution display with GPU: 8GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 . Gpu ? asus Nvidia geforce GTX 1080 a8g or o8g ? Thanks you
Please tell me this is sarcasm right? If you watch the video before commenting you will realise I don't record every second of the flight. Bit of a silly question to ask if an almost 7000nm mile flight was carried out in 1 hour. Even with a speed of "mach 8" the departure and arrival process combined isn't far off 1 hour. As I said, please tell me this is sarcasm....

British commentary in a flightsim livestream, it's kinda the best combination you could ever think of. Nice video!

How about a CYVR to YSSY with a Qantas 747-400ER?
Because it would not be realistic, as the 747-400ER or any 74- does not have the fuel for tgat.
