Hmmm... it's been a few years since I listed to a japanese boy band. On one hand, it feels like Be First leans a bit harder on the K-Pop-esque beat and lyrics (more so than a boy band I heard briefly roughly 2 years ago which sounded more boy bandy and j-pop but had that tinge of K-Pop). On the other hand, it still sounds like a japanese song to some degree (initially I wasn't sure what I was hearing, but I sort of got it as the song went on). Personally not quite my thing as I'm more familiar with the older boy bands like KAT-TUN (did I spell that right?) and V8 and so on (used to watch a lot of NHK in my free time). It's just one song though, I'll have to listen to something else of theirs to properly gauge anything.
