While seeing Buddha in the kitchen again is amazing, the real star here is the pairing of Kristen's natural effervescence with the backstage reality tone set by the producers and director.

I love Kristen! I also love Padma, but Padma was not putting out this kind of content. So good!
I love the behind the scenes snippets ! Buddha always makes food so easily when we know his food has so many components which is not easy. Would love to eat that dessert!!

Man so much creativity in his interpretation. I don't see anyone of Buddha's or Kristen's level of creativity in this season ... yet.

I recently discovered this series and I'm loving it. The format is refreshing, Kristen is great and this episode with Buddha (Top Chef Titan) is my favorite.

It would be really cool to see a season with the returning top chef winners of past seasons against one another. Seeing Kristen, Mei, Brooke, Richard, Stephanie and Melissa including all of the others would be epic. It would be a really difficult season to figure out who would win as they are all beasts! Their are also many great chefs who were also fantastic but didn’t quite make it I’m thinking Gregory, Kwame, Eric, Justin, Sheldon, Shirley, Shota, Amar along with many others.
I keep waiting for Shota to have a breakthrough moment & become a household name.
So many people have come off top chef & gone so far it's easy to forget they were once contestants, unknowingly outside limited culinary circles (Richard Blaise, Tiffany Faison, Carla Hall, Kristen Kish...).
I really want to start rewatching from the beginning and spot all that future talent.
Buddha stood out from the first time of saw him.
I absolutely love Padma. I always will. But if I'd had a say in her replacement, Kristen WOULD have been on my short list.
@@gypsydonovan yes Padma was fantastic but I do think Kristin would’ve been on my short list as well. I also think that Melissa King or Sheldon Simeon could’ve been great as well. Kristin will do very well though and has done well so far.
Shota will be there. He’s appeared in other places such aS tournament of Champions and others. He has done pop ups at his restaurant with other Top Chef alums and seems to be about forming and strengthening community. I think that he was the strongest competitor on his season but was knocked for his structure in the finale (the judges didn’t seem to understand his structure staying true to the Japanese structure of meals.). Along with that the judges were really enamored with moles that there was at least one for every meal that Gabe served. So versatility and originality wasn’t rewarded, the same thing varied slightly was. That being said Shota is doing it the way he wants and his contributions will be felt believe me.
Sort of amazing we didn’t get more shape/ texture dualities in the top chef episode
Buddha is obvious the best of the best. Hope to see him more.

Oof that ad placement is so embarrassing. I hate bottled water but at least it's in glass.
Would be more interesting to see the chef do a challenge that was close to what the contestants had to do. He has all of these culinary assistants and has obviously prepared so many components in advance. It’s not the same.
