The S5 is a sports car based on a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine with 270 kW (367 PS) and an optimized combustion process. It has a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry (VTG) and MHEV plus technology for the first time. The revised S tronic dual-clutch transmission in the Audi S5, designed for more torque, also reduces the weight on the front axle and improves agility. Partial electrification by means of the new 48-volt MHEV plus system leads to reduced CO2 emissions via electrified driving components and high recuperation performance. Its fast, dynamic torque build-up underlines the sportiness of the S5. The standard use of a quattro sport differential with torque vectoring in combination with an adjustable all-wheel drive clutch is tuned for lateral dynamics at the highest level.

Fantastic looking vehicle
I am not an Audi fan, but this car looks fantastic, and I would consider buying one without the passenger screen. It is big nonsense. I still need to become a fan of Hybrid, plug-in, and electric BS. A petrol engine is always the best all-around engine, disregarding the critics.
The front badge does look cheap but overall I think the redesign looks cool - the exterior doesn't look as muscular as the B9 version but the drag coefficient has been reduced. The cabin has been refreshed and finally looks much more futuristic though.

Beautifull, hope the suspension is not "bouncy" like the old A5, think is a great evolution, maybe the best one on the segment

It's very nice.....but does not stand out. And I wouldn't mind the screens but not enough actual tactile buttons or controls.

The audi badge looks terrible 2 dimensional and flat.
Because in the second renewal they will make it stand out with some changes in the lights and engine / all this may be at the beginning, but it is a way to market the renewed model after 3 years. Have a nice day.

It might look like an Audi but it's definitely does not deserve the S5 badging . Even Audi understood this and did not put the S5 badging on the front grill so..... What is shame that this is what came with A5/S5 . The most biggest disappointment is that not only the design but the coupe was destroyed.

I don’t think previous A5/S5 look THAT GOOD or better to the point that it’s irreplaceable , that also looks soft even rs4,rs5 look soft compared to m3,m4 (the grill maybe ugly , but the headlights still look umm, fierce?) .at least, the exterior of this new model look better than before, longer and wider shoulder line
@@arifdanial2060 hello brother well I'm trying to understand what you're saying it is not easy for me to accept that this new design is better than the old ones I do believe that the old ones did achieve the irreplaceable position in exterior design there is something about the headlights that looks cool yes but still just like I said before it does look like an Audi no doubt on this but this kind of exterior design should fit for an A4 model not for A5 and specily not for the S models .
There is a specific design that the A5 / S5 says RS5 platform have under DNA that makes them exception from all Audi models on their arsenal except the R8
And this new exterior design is just not answering this DNA did the old ones had
Currently on an S5 b 8.5 and I think it's a timeless design
And I also think that the b9 platform is the most aggressive beautiful platform Audi ever made A5 /S5 / RS5 models
It's funny because they chose to do the new Audi RS etron gt to look super aggressive and sharp with the same front bumper the rs5 2018-2020 witches really surprising .
And they even made the RSQ8 with the same front bumper as well
And they should put this bumper on the A5 / S5 models as well but they didn't
The main problem is the rear headlights they just don't look like an Audi and does not fit the sports look of the S5

Audi destroyed the new A5 series by trying to look futuristic. Thats so cheap and very ugly.
I hate this redesign. I love how distinct the sport back/ hatchback looks different from the competition and stands out. Looks like a BMW/ Lexus imo. I have a 2023/A5 now, but Might have to consider leaving Audi after this lease is up if their new models all going for this true sedan look. I’m not even a fan of the Avant models either. I really was thinking of getting a A7 or S7, but if models are similar I’m done with Audi😢

why the hate? Be happy it's not a soulless electric car lol. I'm sure multiple exhaust companies will make the V6 come alive. Also, what do you expect from a 2024 car? To scream like the supercharged V6 from the B8? Come on, use some sense here...
It's a hybrid so obviously it would sound like garbage. The point is, it looks like trash and sounds awful.

80% .. Auditography (largest audi social media page) did a poll on it and over 94% of people hate the looks. Who said it was an expectation.. Just an observation that it sounds like trash. They're are hybrid cars from Toyota and Kia that sound better than this.
