    Hi I want to study medicine in Norway and I’m willing to learn the language. However here in Africa there’s no way I can do the Norwegian Language tests and this admissions requirement for all universities. Do you think I should first do one year language course in a Norwegian university and then apply the year after for medicine? How do you think I can meet this admission requirement?

    • @ThisMinah
      @ThisMinah  3 роки тому +1

      If you can do a year of language studying in Norway first then I think that's the best option. You can read more about the language requirements here: www.samordnaopptak.no/info/english/language-requirements/
      Or I guess you could study on your own/take a course where you are, and then travel to Norway for the exams once travel opens up again. But getting to that level of Norwegian on your own might be really hard.

    What does university require in Norway after finishing High school, do u just have to pass all the classes in high school and its enough?

    I find ur video SUPER DUPER MEGA TURBO Helpfull, thanks!

    • @ThisMinah
      @ThisMinah  4 роки тому

      You need to pass high school to be able to apply, but you will use your grades to "compete" for a spot on the course (if a course only has 100 spots, then you need to be in the top 100 among the people who apply there). How difficult it is to get in will depend on a lot of factors, but bigger cities have more competition, and subjects like law, medicine and psychology tend to require really high grades. If you want to study something less popular and are willing to do it in a smaller city, then there will be less competition there :) Hope it helps!

    • @phantom4577
      @phantom4577 4 роки тому

      This Minah It really helps, so in the end, grades matter. Which classes grades do u have to show? All of High school? Or maybe only 11 and 12th?
      Since Im currently in 9th grade and I all ready doing researches and stuff, so Im planning my future from the early days, but the last question would be: which classes grades do u have to show? Really important for me, thanks for ur responde, it means a lot to me :)

    • @ThisMinah
      @ThisMinah  4 роки тому +1

      @@phantom4577 Hmmm, it's a bit difficult to answer because it depends on where you're from. Generally speaking I guess it's all the grades that are on your diploma when you graduate high school? At least that's how it works in Norway. Your grades need to be converted to the Norwegian point system, and the way to do that depends on what country you're applying from.

      Thanks! Your responses means A LOT to me :)

    • @ThisMinah
      @ThisMinah  4 роки тому

      @@phantom4577 I checked real quick and for Lithuania you need Brandos atestatas, and you probably have to show all the grades that come with that. For the most part, norwegian schools don't look at spesific grades for different subjects. You don't get to chose what you show, they will look at the average score for all of them. There are some courses that require at least grade X in a certain subject (for example grade 4 in math to study engineering), but this depends on what you want to study. I don't know if the Brandos atestatas includes the stuff you're doing right now but you should keep that in mind ^^

      Most of the bachelors are taught in Norwegian, with some classes taught in English. You have to check with the school itself. They all have student information desks you can email and they'll write you an answer.

      Uh yeah you do if you want to live there. Most of the bachelor courses can be done in english but most of the master courses are in norwegian only. Never go to another country to study without planning on learning the language that's so disrespectful.
