I love Mint Works and have had the PnP files for this and just not printed. Will have to get this to the table!
This was my first venture into the Mint-world, I've heard good things about Mint Works though - I'll keep my eyes out for it!
I always wanted to get into the Mint series. I should definitely do that soon. Good playthrough, as usual. 👍
This was my first foray. I think I will give Mint Works a go, just based on what I’ve heard from other folks..!
@@OnePlayerForever Yeah, I've heard good things about it, too. I think I'll check them out rather soon, too, maybe on PNPArcade. 👍
Mwahahah first! 🤣
Great video. Have seen a number of these games and never played. Looks nice to see a small box (or teeny tiny box?) games. Hehe.
Keep the games coming Matt.
When you took the last Order you were going for, why didn't you take those 2 orders on the single stacks to end the game before Mel could turn in that last order?
Yeah I think if I’dve worked it a bit better and ended the game quick I might have stood a better chance! Didn’t help that I only figured out I should be taking higher stars/lower amount of orders because of Mel’s special scoring on each order I completed..!
@@OnePlayerForever lol yeah, it is tough when it takes until the end of the game to really understand the strategy to deal with a particular mechanic or something. Even more frustrating when that is the game you film .... lol
You could put the cards on a scanner together and color copy it on to a label sheet and stick each board onto both sides of a piece of foam/cardboard.
It won’t fit into tin but you’ll have your board.
@@OnePlayerForever Once you have an image you could get it printed on a neoprene mat
Well, 24 Labs (now Poketto) does carry the neoprene mat for the multi player side, for purchase.
9:18 yes they do have a red truck, so you use the red truck card. They can only carry 4 mints as well. (Not unlimited)
hmm my rules say the AI doesn't have a limit on their mints, only on the number of orders (via their workload)
But the red truck is on the back of the Mel card so you wouldn't be able to use both at the same time. Looks like v1.2 rules on BGG does give the AI unlimited mints - "If the AI does not have the mints needed to fulfill all of the orders it has, the AI
will attempt to load mints until it does. The AI truck has no maximum mint
capacity. Once the AI has all of the required mints for all its current orders, its
motivation becomes Complete Orders."
livevyne my bad, you are correct in both cases! It’s been a while since I played. I think I just used a random truck for the A.I. (As a player mat, to keep things neat.) and I guess I never noticed their unlimited capacity as they can also use the shift move action, to get at what they need. It would seem the unlimited feature really puts you at a disadvantage because it could lead to mint shortage OR they could possibly wind up not having to go back to the loading zone and just go from picking up an order and straight to delivery. (As if they picked up an order for 2 white mints and they just happen to have 2 extras on their truck.) that just seems a little op. Anyway sorry about that and ty for the correction!
Found mint works a pain to build, plus very underwhelming vs players. I just kept it for solo. So I'm wary of mint delivery, but watching vicariously can't hurt lol.
11:55 the A.I. Will always want to deliver their more expensive cargo first. (Highest V.P. Card)
11:24 as you are playing you can move the mints forward on the conveyer belt to the arrow head and when you deliver, they go back on the conveyor belt on the tail end (in any order of your choice) and slide forward until they are up to the last mint in the queue.
