My September journal: Last month, watching Lydia, she mentioned something I’d forgotten I used to do… In my early days, I used a comp book. I didn’t predate the pages. In fact, I didn’t limit my days to a certain number of pages. I had no restrictions on myself for space so if there was a lot of journaling on a particular day, that day might go for several pages and other days might skip because I didn’t have anything at all to glue in or journal about. When she mentioned how she used to be more free flowing like this, I remembered those days so I’ve gone back to this. So, my journals in the last few months have been completed when it gets full (starts to alligator mouth). For ease of storage, I don’t like them to to be too alligatory. I love the freedom and when it gets full, I remove empty unused signatures and put them in my next cover. Yes, it leaves holes on the spine but I’m cool with that. Love this smaller comp book. Somehow I’ve never seen this size. Headed to Walmart today to try to find it! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Hope you find one … obviously we could cut a full size down but it’s cool they make this size 😎 yes a free flowing journal would be cool …. I may be brave enough to try one again 😭 I do that with my process journaling so I am ok with a daily format for this but there are definitely days I have “nothing “ to journal … and days I could take up multiple pages 🙌
I love the little comp books. I first found them on amazon and bought a pack of 4, I think, for like $10. Then found out that Wal-Mart had them 10 for $5 maybe. I bought those too! lol I'm currently trying Megjournals no-sew journal. It certainly didn't turn out anything like hers, but I'm having fun with it anyway. :D Happy Crafting!
My first journal is going to be a comp journal, too. Watching your process here has been super helpful; I bought some 12x12 pads on sale at Michaels last week. I love your process!
14:29 minutes in, You're just now starting to measure something, and if you bought the book like that, it's already got the measurements on it. So that whole thing is pointless. I thought this was a tutorial but it's actually a day in the life. Of what's on your mind? I don't need to know every little tiny. Thought that you have. Could we please just get on with the tutorial? How did you make this? Can we get to that instead of messing with the paper? I'd like to know what you're on cause I want some.

Fun size comp book! 😃📓 Love how you're altering the pages & the paper you're using!! ✏️💛📏
Thanks so much! 😊 yes I really still want to use some scrapbook papers so I like the idea of alternating and incorporating them into the comp book .
I own those journals and have only used one as a quote book. They are adorable and your September book is going to be so fun! -Melissa

Nope not a tutorial - just my process - I know it’s not for everybody.
