Jazz as a way of expressing freedom has won right throught the years of notsofree socrealistic face of communism. Thank You , and Merry Happy Christmas from all jazz fans in Poznań, Poland. Wojciech Wuja Pawłowski.
The trombone solo seemed super intense and difficult to play with the speed he was going but I didn't care for it as much as like the trumpet solo. I feel like the trombone solo didn't really go anywhere it was just a bunch of fast notes with a swing feel
I love Wynton but I didn't hear Jingle Bells anywhere in his solo. It sounded like this solo could have been played over almost any of his other big band tunes. I mean I can't do it so it still marvelous but this time I was a little disappointed
Not saying this is a bad song, and I'm not saying this isn't an outstanding group of musicians, but it's a shame this band has to play it for trivial purposes.
Jodaa, who orchestrates, regrets that he doesn't have a female voice that makes them stand out, that's the instrumental story pasó a la history, very boring. A man playing local notes within a pentatonic scale, the only one that reads viva al jazz fueron las voces human. It's just that escucho and only crazy pentatonic cycles, it doesn't do any good.
You are saying that this 1961 arrangement by Ernie Wilkins for the Count Basie Orchestra that was debuted at Birdland is a bad arrangement? Do I understand you correctly?
Wynton alway was is and will be Wynton... The best❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️💘❤️
Jesus, what monster solos. Elliot is simply insane. Pure joy!

Jazz Big Band?? Is there any other kind of big band 🤔 ? Arrangement is not good, listen to Goodwins Big Phat Band for amazing arrangements.
Goodwins is very LA/modern/commercial, this band is very traditional
