What the song is saying is when you're at a close end and at the end of your ability to progress further, God will make a way for anyone that call upon him because he can create a way out of that close end for you. But God works through us to make this way. So the idea comes from God not you, we must continue to acknowledge him as the waymaker. God isn't only a promise keeper but also a covenant keeper which is higher than a promise keeper.

There are a lot of scriptures which show us how Jesus performed miracles, such that even Herod, at some point, was keen to seeing Jesus because he had heard of the Miracles that he had been performing, and had hoped to see him perform a miracle before his own eyes.
The Bible teaches us that Jesus is lord and by lord we know that he Forgives sins, we also understand that Jesus is God... therefore if he performed miracles and at some point by the rod of Moses opened up the Red Sea before the children of Israel, he not only qualifies as a Miracle maker but also as a way maker.

It beats my imagination that any man of God would find something unbiblical in the song WAYMAKER when the entire Bible is full of passages that demonstrate that God is indeed the Way maker, Miracle worker, Promise keeper, Light in the darkness etc.. This is very disheartening. When he says God is not a promise keeper, I honestly felt chills down my spine that even the elect can be derailed heavily.
Well all that the song waymaker says isnt about God. Argue it, question it and bring unnecessary jamboree to bring dispute but it remains true that Jesus is doing nothing. It may be true for the baby christian but its not wholistically who God is and what He does. In the Bible, there are alot of things for different levels/stages of our lives. You can even take out of context Scriptures & do something wrong. For the grown, there's basically no Scripture that God is the waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper & light in the darkness. All these attributes and more define who He has made us in the earth. Remember, He is not in the earth, we are. We are His Ambassadors & we carry out these things by the Holy Spirit. We are the waymaker, there's no promise to keep so to say except for the ones He says He will do this if we are not ashamed of Him etc, we are the miracle workers and truth be told, if we don't, nothing happens. Remember the earth is given to us(man). God's Will can be limited by man and God can only work to the extent man yields. Both pastor Chris and Angel are wrong about the song. No matter the way you make for your self, it's because God is "the" way maker, same with he's "the" promise keeper, and he's "the" light in the darkness. If we make a way, keep promises, or shine the light as Christians, it's because we got a rub off from "the" one whom all things originates from. So, it'll be correct to say God is the way maker. Most people don't read their Bible and any analogy their fave pastor gives, they swallow it hook link and sinker. There are scriptural backings for this my exegesis. If you'll say God is not the way maker, then, you'll have to say he's not the provider, saviour... You can be a saviour in your own little way, but God is "the" saviour.
It's a place of being emotional but the truth is all the power was given to a believer that is the essence of Holy Spirit in us.

So, when we are ultimately appreciating God, we must come to him worshipping him as "The" main source of everything we've got and that's what Sinach was singing about. What pastor said was Jesus had Power to make a way and gave us the power to make things happen. So Jesus will make things happen through us. For example , when the disciples where going through persecution, they prayed for God to stretch forth He's hands to heal and signs and wonders . Then God answered prayer by filling them with holy spirit. The next verse then says: and many signs and wonders where done by the apostles. Pastor isn't against sinach song. Yes Jesus is our waymaker. He makes way were there seems to be no way. He is the promise keeper. He fullfils all his promise to us. He is the light in the darkness "and the light shines in the darkness, and darkness has not overcome it" John 1:5
What pastor Chris is saying is that don't remain like a child were mommy has to pick you up to go to the kitchen when you can easily walk there. Thats what God is saying through pastor Chris. God is still the way maker, but when God has given you the tools to make a way for his purpose, you make it because he has given you the ability to do so and if you don't do it, you will give an account to God.

First Jesus being a way market is not Unbilical, what my Pastor Chris was teaching is a higher and better truth. it's like in primary school you learned that 1+1=2, but when you study futher, you will learn that its only 2 because its in base 10. if it was in base 2, then 1+1= 10. The more you grow in Christ, you learn your right, privileges and authority, and your perception and understand towards life changes. that what Pastor chris is teaching, we must grow up

We don’t glorify God by breaking a child of God in public, saying we are excited by way maker song, dear Ps was the first to be excited about way maker, if he saw it differently, there’s an honourable way to do it, particularly Ps Chris as an honourable Ps like he is.
Jesus is bought the way n the way maker. When it comes to salvation he is the way to the father, but when we face trouble n challenge in our lives and it seems as if there is no way out, he will make a way for us. Look when u celebrate and give God the glory for giving u break through in your life, what it means is that you are acknowledging that he has made a way for u out of that impossible situation bcoz there is nothing too hard for him. Amen glory to God.

If what Pst. Chris keeps on saying is true, then what our Lord Jesus said on John 15:1-5 is false. Then, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, Ephesians 1:22-23 and 2 Timothy 2:20-21 should be erased from the Bible.

A word of caution though...1cor10:13 says God is faithful...and will MAKE A WAY of escape. Jesus is the Way to the Father. Jesus is a way maker out of any difficult/ confusing situation. He keeps his promise...always. That's why he is the promise keeper. The Bible says man would not keep his promise so don't trust man.
In all these, I think preaching Christ should be our goal not semantics
