Use popper in clear water. 10x better. Frogs for weeds and lily pads. I to love Kayak fishing but windy days are brutal. Constantly have to fix position.
Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Just capsized my kayak fishing on Friday lost 5 lews poles haha they are now swimming with the bass.
damnnn that sucks. i've capsized kayaks a few times to. Just last week i capsized and sunk up to my neck in quick mud, good thing my dad was there to rescue me or id be swimming with the fishes.

Great family Channel and yes, helping alot of people including myself. My Daughter has picked it up and loves watching. She learned how to use a baitcaster in less than a year just so she could be a real fisherman. BIG BASS ENERGY.

Ascend 12T is the one I'm on rn. It's good if you wanna stand up to cast but it costs $900. If you wanna sacrifice standing up for less cost then the Ascend 10T is good for $670. If your on a budget, the Lifetime Teton is $400.
