It's the translation for 意味不明, which I believe it's a bit more like "His motives are unknown"?

意味不明：cryptic, perplexing. He means Godot always says or does things that make no sense. Same thing said after getting the coffee thrown at him. Phoenix doesn't mention flavor anywhere in this clip.
This might be some kind of confusion with the Chinese on-screen? The characters for 意味 are literally thought+taste. Kinda feels like someone's been playing telephone with the translations.
