I want us to reflect on what the scripture says about marriage. A Muslim should marry to a Muslim. A Christian should marry to a Christian. A herbalist should marry to an herbalist. A cultist should marry to a cultist......The rationale behind this is to avoid any problem that may arise by marrying someone of different religion background. If she has tremendous respect for her husband, she should have asked her church members to stay behind. The man in question is not a strict person. He gave her the opportunity to live her life and enjoy her freedom. What happen afterwards? freedom misused! It is noteworthy to stress out here that religion in marriage is another debatable issue and effort must be made to educate people. Anybody in his right senses will agree with me that love actually plays its role, Mr Taiwo Hassan was blindfolded, he allowed himself to be used and forgot his identity as a Muslim, even though, he made his own declaration, but he should have seen this happening so soon. Great lesson learnt!
