Drax Hall was my childhood summer vacation hangout in the 70s and mid 80s. my uncle was an employee on Drax Hall property in the 60s to 70s. I have beautiful memories of picking pimentos up in the hills of drax hall not to far from Steertown. Trying to remember if that cow butcher plant was part of drax hall. it was located across the street from draxhall if heading to St. Anns Bay Market.

I thing you started in the middle of the estate coming from the security gate straight up then to the right, we have a home in Vista Delmar but more to the left of the gate, one of the world famous entertainer has a home on the next street to ours.
Corner lots are the best. My wife & I built our house in a corner lot on a half acre lot we have 2 neighbors in an affluent neighborhood in the States . Only thing missing is ocean view .
Some of the homes are very nice! I wish there were more space btwn the lots-especially considering the sizes of the homes. I agree the entertainers, whoever he is, house is the best! Gorgeous design ❤

View of the houses have a great outstanding look - great architectural design... the only issue l see here, as a Jamaican living in Canada for over 3 decades; Do you know that in many cases, "Good" artistic landscaping can outweigh the looks of great looking houses! Someone or an organization needs to sell or promote good gardening/landscaping services to match the integrity of the houses -- 1:1 ratio appeal... Otherwise the houses are fabulous to compete...
Do Len Blavatnik next. He owns Warner Music Group and profits nicely from Jamaican culture (TeeJay - Drift, Sean Paul catalog, etc). He also profits from selling the red dirt under Jamaicans feet via his aluminum company RUSAL and the bauxite mine it operates in JA. I mean he gotta have a home in JA right?
Home buyers putting in the money greasing the economic wheel & providing Employment……I love to see that, however it seems like folks are acquiring small pieces of land to build up ( on a competitive scale perhaps not intentional but rather deliberate to go up since the spaces are small ) and hardly any good/proper landscaping concepts to add value and encourage clean environmental practices as well as attract small scale Food production. Personally, I will not invest ,but wish them all the best.

Jamaica has very strong durable housing. But very few look good. Most of them are concrete boxes. A million dollar house is just as ugly as a one hundred thousand one. The architect's lack imagination.
That house at 6:`15 looks like annie Palmer's house. Big house is vanity. never a long term good investment. too expensive if decide to sell. TOO MUCH MONEY WASTED

The homes are beautiful. The landscaping is quite poor. Too many trees that needs to be pruned and thin out the cluster.
From what I see of the houses, many are three levels..therefore yearly property taxes should be in the ranges of usd$20K to $35K...
