You have some great soil though. The soil around here is very Sandy and requires a bit extra horsepower because of that if we want to go deep like Potatoes and Carrots. We top alot of the fields we want to go down deep enough 12 to 18 inch's because soil so heavy and tried min til but ground just hold hell of alot water. What dream soil you have !
Yeah we do have pretty good soil. If you have sand I know manure helps it become better. We had a couple of sandy fields that are much better after years of manure.

It seems we all on spuds but also chopping Maize and trying to chop alot to so I think machinery condition and health mostly catching up so the majority it looks like if they can haul it then it's theirs we really bit off more can chew unfortunately

If you guys would compost your manuer before you put it on your potato ground you can boost your yield buy a lot without chemical fertilizer, I get about 14 ton to acre in clay ground bye doing that
We have thought that too but we don’t own the dairy and they don’t want to put the money into doing that. It would cost about a million dollars to get started.
