We need to see more mature bodies celebrated in culture. I grew up with older celebrities like Sophia Loren and Raquel Welch still in the media and still in the cultural conversation. Shania’s resurgence is a renaissance of that and they were still very stylish and sexy well into their 60’s and beyond. We all need a reminder not to shrink away from living bright just because you’re ageing. Fair play to Shania🙌🏾

An absolute F***ing LEGEND! Have been a fan since I was 2 or 3, whenever I started remembering lyrics. I’m now 27. And loving her still even more
She is one of the few who stayed true to herself and says it like it is. She talks about aging, body issues, health issues, relationships and just life in general, through all the phases. She has never taken any flak from anyone and is so well spoken. She is my all time favorite!
It feels like she is a whole new woman now. She's so open, willing to share her life, and it really just seems like she's so genuinely happy! If you compare her interviews from the last 5 years to how she did interviews back in the 90s/early 2000s (Up! era), those interviews back then felt like she was holding back, or being very careful what to say or not say. I really enjoy her free spirit she has now! It's so great and relatable!

Wow.. Shania went through a lot. I am glad she's sharing this. I am glad she's opening up. It makes sense why she came back and why she created Queen of Me, it was like her inner child that never got to express how she really felt throughout the years is coming out now. She had an open surgery, that is a lot! Shania is holding a lot of courage that she doesn't know she has. I am so glad she found Fred and found safety in him to be the who she is and still be loved and heard. This goes on to show that it is okay to feel that you have insecurities and there is never a deadline to embrace all that you are. Shania literally explained the reasons she chosen the cover of her new album and this era, this new discovery of Shania is a new level of every element to self love. This entire special is powerful.
I've loved her since her "What made you say that" days. So glad she's overcome so much and pushed through the hard times in her life. I love how she's talking about "menopause" and the changes her body is going through and sharing that openly with the rest of us women who are also going through menopause. It's an adjustment physically, mentally, emotionally. I think she looks fantastic and I can't wait for her new album to come out. Love you Shania! 💞

SAME! I didn't care about her when she was younger but when she started being so authentic and sharing her life and story, I absolutely love and adore her. I also love her voice even MORE NOW!
Media plastered her all over as just a pretty face. And, of course, she was married to a music mogul. But even so she made music her own & blended the lines between the country & pop genre. Even if she had a leg in due to who she ended up marrying, she still slayed after her first comeback after the separation and yet again now, after her health issues. Talk about perseverance! Bravo!

Beautiful then, stunning. Beautiful now. Icon forever. When she came along there was no one like her in country music…she brought a new edge, sexiness (with class), that rock influence added in Mutt’s arrangements…changed the scene forever. And of course all the fantastic songs. I think of her as a songwriter first. I know she favors, and so does the crowd, her spectacular BIG shows…but an acoustic, intimate show of her playing & telling stories along with her songs, as other artists do from time to time, would be great. Glad she’s still around…for a while it looked like she’d retired. I think it’s ultimately hard to leave the spotlight for most.
