- Netflix just dropped four more episodes of the world's hottest reality TV show and the drama keeps heating up. This week, Deepti and Natalie react to the new episodes, call BS on two cast members, and share new revelations and rumors hitting the Love is Blind social media world.
In the first episode a tearful Lydia laments that she's been called "too much" in the past and she craves to be loved as she is. Later on, she proceeds to push and disrespect Aaliya's boundaries and it made me think that this phrase that she has been hearing her whole life about herself that she is too much is perhaps other people around her struggling with her lack of boundaries and how pushy she can be.
I just want to say that I really appreciate how well you two balance each other out: Deepthi is more of a romantic and Natalie is more of a realist, Natalie is more black and white morally whereas Deepthi is more likely to see the grey areas. It just works really well
Watching this pod just reminds me how awesome Natalie is. Her perspectives on everything--from cast members to the pressures of masculinity, from reality show dynamics to the ethics of dating--just illustrates what a good head she has on her shoulders. Brilliant girl, keep it up!
WHY does nobody seem to notice how snotty, and entitled Stacy is??? She's nothing short of being a bully IMO. She is probably my least favorite person on this season's show. I 100% believe that if Izzy does end up marrying her - I honestly feel sorry for him. Her family also seems to have huge entitlement issues and are extremely snooty. I see bad things in the future of this couple. Also I think Aaliyah should congratulate herself for getting separated from Uche - he just seemed really domineering many times to me.
I didn´t like Stacy or her family - they represent an era that is long gone in the history of humankind...

Stacey overreacted because she realized she made a mistake getting engaged to Izzy. He cannot meet her standards and the plates and lost and found confirmed that!

One thing I have been thinking about is the fact that Stacy and Johnie were friends back in the pods time and I think it is understandable that Stacy felt hurt by the comment Johnie made, as anyone would but I really think Johnie was edited to seem just bitter when she mentioned the bad credit thing and that Izzy would regret it. She was hurt and probably should not have said that out loud but it was a very human reaction and maybe she noticed the superficial vibes from Stacy from speaking to her. Stacy and Izzy obviously did not speak about finances but Johnie and Izzy obviously AT LEAST touched on it because she knew he had bad credit score and in general, she knew more and had gone more in depth with Izzy than Stacy, so the comment about his credit score had more thought and logic behind it than we thought, again... because of the editing. I think Johnie knew about Stacy's standards as they probably talked about it as women do when they were all in the house and having the pod dates. I also think Izzy will regret going for the girl he went into depth with the least, the most superficial one when his quote on his LIB photo said ''I want to find love in a non-superficial way'' I think it shows there are high chances of them failing as Stacy obviously focuses on things he sees as irrelevant and I agree, Johnie knew the financial convo was going to also be an issue so she was not just talking out of bitterness lol
I don’t think Izzy and Stacy will last. Stacy’s expectations will eventually build resentment because Izzy’s not meeting them. So happy Taylor left! When are guys going to learn that girls (most girls) wear makeup for themselves and not for others? 🙄
I think in Lydia’s mind she was being a good friend to Aaliyah, one with awful boundaries. In all of this she never bad mouthed Aaliyah at all, just Uche 😂
Not Deepti defend Uche's condescending tone. Aaliyah was right...Uche would have loved the Lydia confrontation and have two women fighting over him.

The plastic dishes are OK when you are renting short-term and the found and lost - I didn´t see any problem either... I lost one earring when I was dating someone, it took me a while to figure out where I lost it, and called him and he confirmed he got it, then I met him and got my earring back. So, Izzy kept the things in case somebody called him to get them back... which in my opinion is OK.

The paper plates and cups is a huge sign of immaturity. He is 29 with no dishes? I understand not wanting to do dishes *sometimes* but for you to exclusively use paper at almost 30yo is weird
Who is the villain of the season? Everyone but Milton. Milton is literally the only likable character this season. Also, while I’m not a big fan of Uche, he’s definitely the one in the right in terms of his issue with Lydia. But I do think, overall, this is probably the worst season just due to the fact that no one outside Milton is really likable.
Even IF Lydia knew about Uche being part of the cast, wouldn’t it have been too late for her to apply after he was accepted? And what are the chances of applying and being accepted on the show? I’m curious about the selection process and timelines.
The rumour is Renee had another boyfriend while being on the show/engaged to Carter

I feel like this season will rely on podcasts to clear up all the confusion because of the lies, the editing, and everything else.
Stacey and Milton individually strike me as the two most secure people on the whole show. Stacey was born and raised in wealth; it's what she knows and it's who she is. I do think that if the financial situation of her partner was so important to her, she should have disclosed that in the pods.
You're so right; Izzy kinda got trapped into this engagement because he didn't know he was proposing to a stingy rich girl. He's broke and she wants him to stretch himself beyond his means to maintain her own comfort, no exceptions.
You guys should do a livestream once a season where you can incorporate some of the viewer/followers thoughts in the program- just a suggestion, love your podcast!
I have theory as to why Izzy reactied to Johnie at the BBQ. If you rewatch the pods Johnie said some shitty things about Stacy, talking behind her back. That their relationship wasn't serious and it would only last a month. And Johnie even randomly brought up his credit score. Stacy made it very clear she does not like Johnie, and Johnie was kinda shady with the Chris/Izzy moment.
Izzy is backing his woman. As a couple they were probably talking shit about Johnie behind doors and Stracy probably told him how Johnie was talking shit about her. He was just being overzealous for his woman, or maybe trying to show her how much he cares, plus he had a little bit of his own beef. I totally got "look honey, look what I did and said for you baby . I got your back" vibes...Seems childish and over the top. It's very much in line with his personality when he was talking to Lydia at first meet. I don't know if it's intentional but it somes off "trying to beat someone when they are already down."

I have to say, I am baffled that there hasn't been more of a call-out about Uche. Deepti spoke to it some as far as how disrespectful Uche is when he's speaking, but I don't understand how Natalie is so understanding of Uche's behavior. Outside of acknowledging that Uche was disingenuous in his convo with Milton,bshe seems blind to Uche's narcissism. This dude has been gaslighting Aaliyah from the beginning, act3d holier thsn thou about a cheating situation that had nothing to donwith him while not revealing that he cheated on someone too, when he treated Miriam like shit. Also, what was the confusion as to why Miriam was so upset?? She was upset because of thw way he talked down to her. And he talked down to her because she was reading him to the letter . A narcissist does not like to be called put, especially on front of an audience. This is why he immediately began ridiculing her about her job ad living situation. You could tell in his tone that he was upset, but he was covering by making fun of her. Uche is a piece of shit, stop defending him. Yes Miriam's answers were sus, but he is an asshole. And how is Johnnie of all people your favorite?!? Whew chile.
The way I saw it, if Izzy and Stacy are going to get married, she will bring and contribute her silverware/plates. Is that THAT big of a deal? It isn’t like you give up your plates when you get married lol
I personally have 3 sets of nice plates but we still eat on paper plates to cute back on dishes and time during the busy work week. Who cares. I think this issue was way overblown. I would rather the guy not have hid own dishes anyway because chances are they will look bachelorish anyway
Yeah she overreacted for sure (though it is a little odd I’ll admit). I would rather walk in to an apartment with paper plates then a nasty sink of stale dirty dishes 🤷♀️
I think that the plastic plates and cups have to do with him moving around - it´s easier to carry from rental to rental. I don´t see any problem with that, but Stacy is used to sabotaging her relationships - she´s constantly testing and failing her partners - it´s a vicious cycle for her... she can´t stop this... if Izzy didn´t have plastic plates, she would have found something else to pick, that´s what she does...

I’m sorry but I could careless for Uche! I think you guys are giving him too much of a pass! He is very aggressive and manipulative. He doesn’t lie but he definitely does not tell the full truth. He is judgemental and conniving. I’m sorry but I think you two are given him way too much of a pass. I believe the were in some type of relationship because why would he continuously go back and forth with all the red flags .
I feel this season is similar to your season two. NONE OF THEM WILL MAKE IT.

As someone who came from poverty and worked very hard for success, Stacy’s comments really angered me.
Equality I agree with 100%… but don’t look down on someone and make fun of them because they don’t have nice stuff.
@victoriaemerson-ds8du having dishes is not looking down it called being a grown up. He can spend $ 10 at the dollar store and get 2 dishes, 2 glasses, 2 bowls, and cutlery.

The word you're searching for in terms of how Uche speaks to people is "abusive". Having feelings does not entitle you to treat people (or to women in particular because he doesn't talk to men the same way he talks to women and this is obvious throughout the series) the way that he does. This becomes evident in episode 8. It's appalling.
It’s small, but I found myself being annoyed with Deepti for a moment in this episode. When Natalie shares that Uche said his “breaking up” with Aaliyah in that scene was a production sound bite and Deepti says “what does that even mean”? That came across to me as deeply disingenuous. Even I know that means lol
I like Johny. She really opened up to Izzy and made herself vulnerable. For Johny, she was creating a deeper connection with Izzy, and yet, from where we were sitting, we could see him shutting down and rejecting her.

I feel like when uche was telling his side of what he heard from the girls pod, might have been from Aaliyah about Lydia. He just chose not to say who he got his information from.

For me, I like the way it “looks” to have the guy pay for doing our, so in the beginning of my relationship when we made similar amounts, I offered to pay for groceries and he paid for dates.

Maybe for other viruses but not as a measure to prevent the spread of Covid. Everyone I know caught Covid while wearing a mask 🤦 and the mask studies support that they're pretty ineffective against blocking Covid.

This season is so toxic, I am not even interested to see who makes it, I have no interest in drama, I just want a cute love story, they need to take a note from the Japanese season. I think no one will be at the reunion because they all will have a restraining order against each other 🤣🤣🤣 also Izzy and Stacey were so drunk, slurred speech and all

I expect men to pay for everything because I show up with nails, lashes, the outfit, my laser appointments, etc, all the beauty stuff they really appreciate is a cost I swallow upfront. So I do expect them to pay. Also there's still a wage gap. Until that's closed, 50/50 doesn't even make logical sense to me.

I think "Love is blind" season 5 is the result of reality tv format that has run its course...Too many schemes and plots...and screw it, Lydia is overbearing, Aaliyah needs to step up to fight for her man instead of running away from her problems, and Uche needs to learn how to use proper tone. I think I'm done after this season..change the format a bit and vet the contestants better dude! Season 1 & 2 were surprising and different but now it's expectant 😶😑
To be honest, I would love to see a Senior version of Love is Blind - only people over 50 or 60 years old in the cast - that would be super fun.. no mind games for sure... he he he...
My theory about JP & Taylor is that she constantly ragged on him about the awkwardness & being shy & he couldn't give her an answer that satisfied her so he thought he'd give her an explanation that had like an "easy fix" you know? In his stupid Neanderthal brain, he thought it was a compliment that also was an easy solution to their problem so that they could move forward. I found myself really annoyed by how Taylor hounded him constantly. I feel like if she had just calmed down & relaxed, he would have come out of his shell a lot sooner & easier. Not excusing what he said, but I don't think the fault lies solely on him.
JP is a firefighter, a very rustic guy, Taylor is way out of his league... and vice-versa... no compatibility on anything at all....

23:55 I might be stretching here, but given how Uche & Aaliyah's previous conflicts went, I almost wonder if some part of her was worried that if she waited one more day to tell him herself that she was leaving, it might only result in her having to go through more of that forcefulness and kinda judge-iness from him, on top of having to spent another 24 hours around Lydia...
Especially given that she had no way of really knowing for sure if he was being totally honest with her about the situation. (I mean, a week or two isn't exactly a lot of time to build trust with someone who's a total stranger to you, even if you do have a great connection.)

Uche didn’t prove himself to a safe place for Aaliyah. She said that in so many words when she brought up Uche’s reaction to her cheating in a past relationship. It was a classic fight or flight type of situation with strangers essentially and I completely understand why she left without saying anything. It was overwhelming
They’re just incompatible. He’s someone who needs to deal with problems upfront and she’s avoidant (like cheating due to sexual starvation rather than just breaking up). Your partner shouldn’t have to set aside their own emotional process so that you can have a “safe place” for your emotional process. Aaliyah needs someone who doesn’t feel much and can therefore make her process his only priority. And Uche needs a woman who will communicate openly and reciprocate with blunt direct communication as he prefers.
100% agree. Her psyche correctly identified his abusive tendencies even as she was trying to rationalize all of it. Common practice of highly empathic people.

To me, Uche doesn’t need a wife right now, he needs therapy. Aaliyah needs therapy as well…and probably a guy like Chris. Each partner, in my opinion, should always be mindful of creating a safe place for each other in order for the relationship to remain healthy and open.

It was clear though that she hasn’t truly accepted accountability and responsibility for her cheating though, and he pressed her on that. He needed to understand what she actually thinks and feels about that in order to figure out if it’s a red flag (which it was, imo). She never told the guy she cheated on, said it was because she had a higher drive so needed to find it somewhere else, and was trying to deflect and not be truly accountable for it. I completely understood his reaction being to press in and challenge her.
Unpopular opinion, I think Uche is doing so much on social media to get ahead of the story. People will start to believe him because he's the only one speaking out at the moment so what else is there to go on. Also it feels like he's only accusing her of following him there because Aaliyah accused him of agreeing to come on the show with her. Time will tell but I feel like y'all are giving Uche a pass a bit (like a small pass like in defending the way he speak, it is his voice but you can 100% tell when he's being condescending and aggressive,I don't agree that it's passion) Also I don't agree with Lydia ruining their experince, she 100% made it harder but Aaliyah and Uche were not a match at all which would have ruined them. I do hope he goes to/is allowed to go to the reunion to hopefully have a better space for him and Lydia to talk about what happened because it still seems unclear who's telling the truth. I feel like its a mix between what he's saying and what she'd saying, some of his actions don't make sense if she truly was this crazy stalker he's claiming her to be. I think they were both just messy together and didn't mix well
I think the production of the show learned a lesson with Uche and Lydia - once they find out people know each other, both are out - no negotiation, no deal. It is what it is... people are not supposed to know each other, regardless if they are going to be in a relationship or not...
Sorry Deepti, Aaliyah owed that gas-lighter nothing - she had every right to just up and leave...especially having to deal with Lydia, as well. She was in a HORRIBLE situation. Uche is a toxic person. He is selfish and a narcissist. Only Uche and Lydia knows the whole story. He is a liar and a hypocrite.
Lydia has serious issues. She is manipulative. Super clingy and has very low self esteem. She causes more drama than needs.

This season is painful to watch.
Izzy and Stacy relationship is superficial. Izzy is an immature playboy. Stacy is a controlling and annoying person. Aaliyah needs to work on herself and standing up for herself. Milton is 24 he needs time to find out who he is.
JP has secrets and LIB is not his cup of tea to date. He doesn’t know how to date. Taylor did the best thing to leave the relationship.
I watched some tiktoks and youtubers that said Renee is married, but not to Carter. Apparently she had a boyfriend outside of the show. But on Renee's insta story she was shadding J.P, Uche, and CARTER and said that it would have been a DIFFERENT show if she was on.... high key hope they'll be in the reunion and spill the tea, but I don't think production would let them 🤣🤣
I think that Lydia following people's stories has been overblown. Unless set to 'private', social media stories are in the public domain, so Uche can't claim ownership over other people's stories. It is the most ridiculous part of his accusations against Lydia.
Izzy is so… ehh. I feel like he wanted to speak to Lydia and the other girl thinking they were still going to be into him and wanting him to make himself feel better since I feel Stacy makes him feel smaller. And because they both weren’t “on him” or interested, I feel he was soooo wack about it.

For season 1 of Love is Blind, the producer or director made it clear that the production staff was not allowed to interfere with the interactions of the cast during the taping of the show. However, some stuff in this current season makes me wonder if this is the case -- some stuff seems manipulated for TV drama...

I like Uche - he´s the wysiwyg type -- if you are open and honest 100% of the time with him, you´re in good shape... these types even like if you are rude with them, as long as you are being honest...

Ok so I listened to Izzy on nicks podcast before listening to this. IMO Izzy is immature and self centered. He said he and Stacy are together, so we shall see if that is true. I think Stacey came across - between her and her dad - like she wants a partner who can take the burden off. It’s possible she wants the guy to pay because she keeps dating deadbeats. So I can see both sides. That said - they both come across as “mean girls” so I think they are good together. A couple who bullies together stays together 😂
I am rooting big time for Lydia and Milton. I agree with the idea that the truth is in the middle. I do think that Uche broke off with Lydia but kept things going and maybe she thought they were “unspokenly” together but on a “technicality” they were not and she found out about other women on social media. Then he pulled the guy thing and was like - well were weren’t “together” so technically I did nothing wrong. How they both got there seems moot since Lydia never went after Uche. Maybe she and Uche had the conversation in the pod and then she said “I have a feeling…” because she seems bad at keeping secrets. Lol. She had to ask allyiah (spelling maybe sorry) who she was crying about and it happened to be Uche then lydia seemed exasperated, but they were already close so it doesn’t seem like Lydia inserted herself.
I just feel like at 45 (me) in my experience when a guy has to rely on technicalities and then tries to put it on the woman - they are generally lying by omission or something like that. And then they cover their rear with a backstory that “proves” they are innocent. This seems like that 💯. Does that mean Uche will be a douche to everyone? No. But he is a lawyer so has that set of skills and he was already acting that way to allyiah, too.
Are we not going to talk about how the other cast members said Stacy said she wanted to shit in the cookies before she baked them to give them to johnie?!!

Deepti, you are so kind and sweet and wholesome and compassionate, and I love that about you, but Uche does not deserve your compassion. Please don't give this man the benefit of the doubt! Natalie is right: he is condescending and manipulative! Sure, he is blunt and direct, but you can be blunt and direct without being condescending and manipulative. You can be condescending and manipulative without being blunt and direct. The two are not synonymous.
This season is uncomfortable. I’ve never flip flopped so much on how I feel about certain cast members until now. I’ve been an avid watcher of every season too. I defended Uche at first but then he really got waaaay too problematic for me. But then everyone seems to have something off! There is not a single couple that I’m rooting for. Im not saying I wish downfalls or something, I’m just not convinced any of these couples are compatible and will last, the foundation just isn’t there. I think some would be benefit from therapy or with a relationship coach. I did think at one point Taylor and JP were going to be the next Lauren/Cameron Tiffany/Brett but oh lord did that dream die.
Side note: I like Taylor, she is emotionally intelligent and I thought she handled the make up conversation rather well considering JP didn’t deserve that much grace. He was straight up rude.
You can tell right away in the reveal what is going to work and what is not going to work. I you watch season 1 and see Cameron and Lauren reveal, that´s the baseline. Meaning - this current season has rejects from hell - maybe rejects from previous seasons ??? - and in their reveal, no chemistry with anyone... they were clearly forcing for the cameras, and nobody was real... maybe some lust and physical attraction, but beyond that, they were all doomed... I don´t know anybody got married...
Rene is married now… just few months after the show ended filming! She was still with her boyfriend when she was on love is blind… that’s why… you should get Carter on cauz he is the victim here 😢

To me I would not like to see the paper plates and stuff either. Is not so much that eating off a paper plate is a huge deal, but it’s another data point for Stacey that shows Izzie’s immaturity. What other things does he cut corners on that the most 30 year old men should be doing. Will this relationship be childish or like a college relationship. I think all those things are running through her head. It’s not a sign of a mature man that’s an equal partner for her
I can’t wrap my head around having hobby lobby girlie decor, but then no real plates. When you see that kind of decor in someone’s space you assume there will be plates and flatware! I don’t get it, something is off with that apartment…
I have two hypotheses: either that the apartment is a very new rental (or sublet) that was already furnished---by a woman---or that it's an Airbnb. I lean towards the former, as even an Airbnb usually comes with glassware and tableware.

Honestly. I feel YOU BOTH know how it is when you’re “talking”/dating a guy and it feels like a relationship and they make it seem as so. He could of easily been lying to her saying he wasn’t involved with anyone else but her atm even though they were “just dating.” And she probably felt he was based on whatever. Which made her want to check up and see if he was being truthful. Let’s not act like that is soooo uncommon and weird and giving stalker vibes. Like don’t do that. In the same breath, getting close and being in Aaliyah’s ear wasn’t okay AT ALL. Not feeling that.
As far as Uche and Lydia’s conversation…. You can be taken off guard NOT knowing he was just going to attack her with their past and her actions. Not allowing her to really get a word in. Obviously knowing there’s cameras and feel bombarded and unable to process while someone’s making you out to be a stalker. After you’ve been enjoying yourself with everyone and your fiancé. I would too get highly upset and walk away as well if I’m not able to get a word in. It’s like bro, you know what happened, why it happened and what you did to make me feel like I needed to check so why are you coming with all this rn in this setting? What was the purpose and point.

If they were in a real relationship there would be no reason for *both* of them to omit it from their disclosures. He didn’t mention her because she was a no-strings unexclusive long term hookup. She didn’t mention him for the same reason. And if she’s arguing otherwise then she needs to explain why she didn’t mention this serious relationship then. The only answer left is that she knew he had applied and was stalking him. Of course if he was a woman everyone would be horrified by that possibility but because Lydia is a woman you’re bending over to cast her as a victim.
I’m just confused by the clip of when they first discovered each other in the pods. I know they didn’t show a ton of footage, but it didn’t appear that there was hostility. They seemed to find the situation amusing if anything. I think uche is justified being upset with some of the stuff Lydia was disclosing about him to ailiyah, but then I don’t get why uche wants to go digging so deep in the past to drag Lydia. Just seems so unnecessarily petty. They could have just been adults and acknowledged they both messed up and move on. I don’t know, this whole cast needs therapy and learn to manage conflict. I think Taylor has the most emotional intelligence of the group.

You guys Uche showed so many narcissistic traits. He gaslit Aaliyah in the pods, he never takes accountability, and why was he telling Aaliyah in the pods that Lydia is such a great person, and has a great heart, and she will be a great friend to Aaliyah and was asking about her and milton but then he turned around and said she was a stalker and mentally unstable when it came time to clear his name. He says lydia is a stalker but hes the one looking for her and creating drama with her when she wasnt worried about him at all. He tried to say she took a pic of his house when she was on the phone with him saying hi i see you! That's what narcissists do is switch up narratives and publicly bash people! In the whole argument he had with her he wouldn't even let her talk. Like why did he even randomly get mad at her anyways? He had no problem with her, then suddenly started an argument about shit from the past! He was mad she wasnt concerned about him anymore
The thing is never the thing with Stacy. It’s not about the lost and found or the paper plates, it’s about her viewing Izzy as immature, which he is, and that seems to be a big issue for Stacy. She needs to just say that, instead of picking at seemingly little things.
Uche is convincing and brings receipts cause he is a lawyer and a master manipulator. He knew in what show he was getting himself into and yet he is already defending everything when he is not supposed too. On the Renee and Carter situation, I've seen receipts that they filed for a marriage license but it was not returned, and they didn't actually go through with it. Allegedly Renee got married in March of this year to someone else, a name not disclosed yet. People are speculating she was in a relationship the whole time and went through with the engagement and filming for clout. As a form of punishment or to discourage others from going on future seasons to be famous, production cut their entire storyline.

IMO I think it's a more practical matter than retaliation or discouragement. It's simply practical - they can't really air a season in October in which one of the aired contestants already married someone else in March. With everyone searching the internet for marriage licenses, it doesn't make sense to air segments where the people are already married to others by airtime, it completely loses any sense of will they/ won't they at the altar (or before). Renee left them no choice.
Further, in this particular case, my theory is that they finished editing the footage and this season before Renee got married (so before March). That's why there are 10 episodes instead of 12, because it takes less time to remove footage than to add more footage of other couples, plus they were sloppy with the removal because you still see remnants of Renee w/ wedding band, etc. Whereas if they had, let's say, put together the seasons edit this summer, they could have left Renee and Carter out entirely (maybe even exclude their pods footage, in retaliation or as discouragement as you suggested), and used more footage of some of the other 3 engaged couples.
one more proof that the casting process this season was a fiasco... my theory is that the more experienced producers and casting staff are overseas training local production companies as Netflix will be launching soon a Love is Blind - Germany - I mean, I didn´t watch the Japanese version, but being half German, and being in a Germany a few times and knowing how private people are, it´ll be interesting to see them opening up in the pods etc... The Netflix catalog also said Love is blind UK is coming, so.... We got lucky here in Brazil that the producer in charge of the Brazilian version of Love is Blind is very experienced with these types of reality shows - she worked with the Circle crew in the UK - and she got the formula of the show. The Brazilian version of the show is really good... the wedding locations are gorgeous and Brazilians do know how to throw a party ;-) The cast of last season was great as well - some real marriages happened and they are still going, so...
Izzy cannot think for himself. He went hard on Johnie because he felt like he should do it for Stacy. That somehow Stacy would be “impressed” or love Izzy more if he did that. Because what self-respecting, confident man would take pride in “railing” on a woman and also why does it matter to “put her in her place”? Or if Johnie really meant nothing to Izzy in the pods, why did any of that matter?

I can´t wait for Deepti and Natalies to see the two episodes Netflix posted this morning - what a mess. I don´t think anybody got married... a cast from hell... As to the comments regarding the previous episodes 5-8, I agree with everything they said. These two ladies are adorable together and I`m so glad they decided to do this channel with the reviews. I totally agree with Stacy´s eval in terms of being materialistic and talking about money all the time. Her family is the same thing -- Izzy is a big kid, a salesman who is used to talking his way through problems. He is not a match for Stacy - actually, I´m not sure anyone is, as even rich guys don´t like to talk or worry about money all the time... The real-life rich people think it´s bad taste to discuss money, and it´s actually unpolite... The whole purpose of the show is to love someone from the inside of that person, so Stacy got back to the same thing she´s been doing all her life - appearances and materialist issues... On Izzy´s side, Stacy is for sure not the right woman for him - he needs another salesperson so both can talk and talk and talk and sell to each other and live a good and fun life...
I think Uche has the right to defend himself and not succumb to the power of the production company. Also, I disagree that Lydia single handedly ruined the experience for Aliyah and Uche. They wouldn’t have survived the process themselves they had their own issues!

I agree. It's not that he would 'fail' to be some form of an unreasonable archetype, but that he literally wouldn't be able to show up equitably, even if he tried to. She is showing up to the relationship with a house, and he suggested splitting dinner costs (?!). He called that '50/50' but how is that an equitable financial contribution to stand up to hers?? Additionally, women do significantly more labour in a relationship in general, particularly if they have children, so there is no way he could make up the deficit. I don't care for the guy, but to throw Izzy a bone, it's a completely bananas idea to date a woman so outside of his financial class when he's just starting his career. Men tend to struggle with feeling good about themselves when they're struggling with money, and marrying a woman you quite literally, no matter how much you try, provide for strikes me as a recipe for disaster, however good his intentions might be. @@a.r.8954 Completely agree with all that you have said! They may be attracted to one another, but they aren’t compatible at all. Money is a huge factor in a relationship. I’ll be really surprised if they pull through and have a lasting marriage but we shall see!
First; that's a lot to assume. Sometimes people just cry in stressful situations. Even if it was over that though, it's too easy for people to get lost in the weeds of what's in front of them that they don't realize the intention. If he says it was truly to show she him as he was before they met, he is stupid, but she is ignoring that he did think about her and this isn't a reflection of his life with her. Also, he's likely broke, but it's incredible that women believe men with money don't live like that. My friend's, who aren't lacking by any means, could easily eat off paper plates and have a million on standby. Men and women in a lot of cases intrinsically value different things, and what you buy isn't often based on what you can afford, but off what you value.
