23.12 homo homini is not Smolensk disaster but World Trade Center monument/ you can see 2 towers and airplane going through/. Also in Kielce and around there is much more to discover. I would say you will have to live there to see everything. Poland is so wonderful.
Thank you for the correction 😅 And if you have any specific ideas for other things to see I’d love to hear it, I tapped out what the tourist office had to offer 😛
@@britinpoland2392 thanks for replying. Honestly is so much more to see there and around that you wouldn't believe. First of all you must go to place called Święty Krzyż and gołoborza. Magical places. There are the places there that you wouldn't believe that exist.

Yes! And even did so without even knowing what I’d signed myself up for 😅 Even though my legs were dead and my feet were on fire by the end it was worth it!
Swietokrzyskie is wonderful so much to see and do , the region is rather poor in investment but nature beauty and history compensate ... For lack of 5star hotels and commercial attractions .
How nice to see a monument to Piłsudski's legionnaires in Kielce. One may forget that when they actually entered the city in 1914, their reception by the city's inhabitants was, say... less than enthusiastic. Monuments often play a great role in "improving" history. ;)
This was the reaction of only a part of the inhabitants, instigated by the then bishop of Kielce. In fact, it was in Kielce that Piłsudski camped for several weeks and gathered legionnaire troops, with the support of the city, both in terms of material/medical support and the influx of soldiers. From here the legions set out to fight. No wonder that the monument to legionnaires stands in Kielce. This monument, "Czwórka Kadrowa" (built in 1938) is a symbol of the name given to Kielce - "City of Legions". Only one city in Poland received such a title in the 1930s. "Improve" your own history better, just check the basic knowledge on the Internet. "Kielce is for me like the first smile of my beloved, like the first ray of the morning dawn" -Jozef Pilsudski (you can read it on the official site about him)
@@alh6255that's right and have to mention that Pilsudski left Cracow with 144 men only. He formed his first legion in Kielce where nearly a thousand man joined him. He established his headquarters in Kielce shortly after so we can say Kielce was capital of reborning Poland for some time and that is also why Kielce are being called City of the Legions
15:05 video will never fully represent the magic of the moment you found yourself in especially in this kind of environment surrounded by ancient forests of Holy Cross mountains. There are many ghosts or I would rather say spirits in this forest but no need to be afraid of them if you respect nature they will welcome you and even protect you showing you the way out of forest if you lost and that is esential part of polish Great Spirit - be respectful and you are welcome. Simple.
@@siwaszkotka I really want to see more of these mountains! I think they are lesser known by foreigners, so if you have any recommendations I am all ears 😁
@@britinpoland2392must seen places are as you probably already know Swiety Krzyz (Holy Cross) and Sw. Katarzyna. First is a monastery built on an old Slavic place of cult - one of the most important when Poland was not been called Poland yet... There is a tomb of slavic kings underneath monastery but is destroyed and fulfilled by water. It's hard to find any information about it. Second monastery is placed not on the top but at the bottom of the highest hill in Holy Cross mountains. On the top of it there used to be meetings of local witches as rumours say but in fact there used to be remains of ol' pagan/slavic cult. Beside of these there are some more places I will tell you about later on...
