Vocabulary Notes:
Noun 3 "Fahrenheit" - This word comes from the name of Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit, a German scientist; he invented the Fahrenheit system in 1724.
Nouns 5 and 29 "fairy and "ferry" - These words have the same pronunciation.
Noun 8 "fall" - Another word for "fall" is "autumn."
Noun 10 "fan" - Another meaning of fan is a person who strongly supports a person, activity, or sports team.
Noun 11 "fare" - This word isn't used only for busses! You can also use it for other means of transportation such as planes and trains.
Noun 14 "fart" - Another (more polite) way to say fart is "pass gas."
Noun 18 "fatigue" - This word can also be used as a gerund; example: "He is fatigued."
Noun 19 "faucet" - Another word for faucet is "tap" (or "water tap").
Noun 21 - Do people still use faxes!? Apparently so, yes. And "fax" can also be used as a verb; example: "She faxed the document to me."
Noun 33 "fiction" - The opposite of fiction is "non-fiction."
Noun 37 "fighter" - Other ways to say this are "jet fighter" and "fighter jet."
Noun 38 "file" - Files can also be physical objects that are used to store papers and documents.
Noun 40 "film" - Another word for film is "movie."
Noun 45 "firefly" - Another way to say this is "lightning bug."
Noun 47 "firetruck" - Another way to say this is "fire engine."
Noun 60 "flock" - One popular 80s group was called "Flock of Seagulls" - hence the 80s style music cassette!
Noun 61 "flood" - This word can also be used as a verb: "Our town flooded last year."
Nouns 64 and 65 "flour" and "flower" - These words have the same pronunciation.
Noun 68 "fly" - also known as a "housefly"
Noun 71 "fool" - To call someone a "fool" is an insult!
Noun 91 "frown" - This word can also be used as a verb: "My teacher frowned at me when I arrived late for class!"
Typo: Number 41 "fine" - The sentence reads, "I have a pay a parking fine." The sentence should read, "I have to pay a parking fine."
