@@em4703your probably right but I don’t mill that much wood. I don’t want another ported saw. That 661 does a great job when I need it. And it turns those big ass eucalyptus trees I have to deal with into nice little chunks real nicely.
hi I used this items www.ebay.it/itm/75cm-Schwert-Set-mit-2-Ketten-3-8-98TG-1-6mm-passend-f%C3%BCr-Stihl-MS-381-MS-382/192443026785?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
this was a great video. what kind of wood were you milling? i am thinking of buying a ms261c-m and quite impressed that you managed to mill such a large log using a bar that is 50% longer than the maximum recommended length. if that's a hardwood log then i'm even more impressed. cheers!
Salve dal Los Angeles. Fatto bene!! È molto diverso con 3/8" chain invece la .325" cioè standard? Che figo! I have a 20" bar on mine but it's a little too small to slab the tree in my backyard
Hi, good italian, better than my english. I did not found a long blade for 261 then bought this: www.ebay.it/itm/Schwert-2-Ketten-passend-fuer-Stihl-MS-381-MS-382-75-cm-3-8-98-TG-1-6-mm-chain-/192443026785 An this ring: www.ebay.it/itm/Ringrad-3-8-7Z-16-7mm-passend-fuer-Stihl-MS261-Ring-Rim-/261268972097 261 worked great. That is one hell of a work out for those small saws. I just did sixteen 2" slabs with a 661 stihl and thought I needed a bigger saw.
If it's ported it can handle it. If it's not, overheating may be an issue.
I think that’s an everlasting impression with chainsaw milling, I have yet to come across a guy saying they don’t want a bigger saw for it

I like your throttle controller. How did you make it?
Yeah, throttle actuator looks simple but isn't, do you have Plans for sale?
Love the design
Thanks but it was casual, all recicling stuff
Wie lange haben Sie für diesen ganzen Stamm gearbeitet?
Did you use a crosscut chain or a ripping chain?

การทำโครงสร้างอย่างไร
isn't this saw way to weak for logs like that with a 75cm bar?
that is one heavy slab
