  • In this video I'm sharing how pranayama breathwork helped me to heal from my chronic illness. Pranayama is the practice of breath control in yoga and it can help you to heal from your chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes and much more.
    Pranayama is the practice of breath control in yoga. In modern yoga as exercise, it consists of synchronizing the breath with movements between asanas but is also a distinct breathing exercise on its own, usually practiced after asanas. In texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and later in Hatha yoga texts, it meant the complete cessation of breathing.

    I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome/adrenal fatigue and a couple of other issues and discovered breathwork just over a year ago, I was so shocked at how drastically it began to shift my health and healing that I learned to become a breathwork facilitator. Your words deeply resonate with me Niraj, I see the illness as a gift now and it’s led me to my purpose to help others liberate themselves from chronic issues. I still have a lot of healing to do but to think where I was to where I am now I credit a lot of it to the power of breath. Much love and blessings 🙏🏻❤️

      I am recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, been very ill for 10 years +. I have found an amazing nutritionist/homeopath who is helping me and she recommended breath work. My question is where to start? I'm following some videos on UA-cam. Thank you.

      @@SOMABreath I did the exact same thing in a sense. I have Crohn's and when it first came about I went from 150 pounds to 90 pounds almost killing me. I maintained for 4 years following taking medication and going to the gym. Covid happened, I got into breathwork and Yoga, and all of a sudden I didn't need medication anymore. It's been 3 years now without any real issues.

      Hi, we cannot give medical advise. Breathwork can give many benefits and if your symptoms are anxiety related you are most likely to feel relief. However, if the breathing issues are medical related especially issues to do with the lungs and severe illness, we ask people to refrain from the breath holds and to continue breathing normally or rhythmically during the hold.     I’ve been suffering from ulcerative colitis for 7 years now. I have been in a flare for a little over a year that has made me lose my job, my life, and has left me bedbound. I’ve tried immunosuppressants and steroids that haven’t worked. I’m becoming more and more hopeless everyday. Please help me.
