You'd love a book called The Salt Path, its all about the South Coast path & a couples journey together when they became homeless & the people they met along the way ❤
If you're thinking about switching to another campervan (which is the impression I got, I just might be wrong), my suggestion is to get one with access to the drivers seat from inside the van, so you don't need to go out just to get to the front seat or into the back. I follow another channel which started as a campervan channel: «Trent and Allie» who built a house in the UTAH mountains 4 years ago. They had an event which showed the importance of having this easy access to the stearing wheel from inside the van. While they were sleeping in one of the sentral american countries south of Mexico, someone was checking the doors to see if they could get in. Trent voke up to the noise, and in just his underwear he jumped in the driving seat, started the van and drove to another safer location. You also get the benefit of heating the driving cabin when using the woodstove. 🙂 I really like the way the two of you show how you love each other. It is the little things, but they matter. I've noticed this for the last year I've been following you. Blessings from the middle of Norway.
I am from Birmingham, West Midlands 🏴 I started watching Trent & Allie in June 2021 They live 8000ft up in the mountains in Utah They did have a stake in a Company called Mountain Made Vans converting them to liveable spaces but the guys who were working on them full time didn’t want to do it any more However you learn how to live in small spaces in a van 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴❤️
What a lovely adventure! I thought for sure Ben was playing the flute down by the water. I agree with Ben that the foghorns look like a Dr. Seuss contraption. Emily, you need to check out some Dr. Seuss books or videos. They're right up your quirky alley!
I've had the midwinter blues all day and you've just cheered me up no end, thank you! Back in the 90s, my then partner and I used to go away in March, and we would go to Cornwall because it's the furthest south and west you can go, and therefore warmer than anywhere else. Devon is all rolling green, and then you cross into Cornwall, and it's so stark, with evidence of its industrial heritage littering the landscape. I love it.
We love your videos. We now live in the Highlands but it brings happy memories of life back in England and the places you visit. Thank you for all the effort you both must put in to do this ! I'm a keyboard player and love your music too !
A really good Pasty can be had here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Many miners from England, Wales, and Ireland came here to work the huge copper mines here. Thus the Pasty became a staple food for these miners both of the Europeans and Americans. Such good hearty food.
That was an amazing video. It's great to visit these places out of season as they are wild yet beautiful. I can see you both living in Cornwall one day suits you both.
Wow! What a fabulous vlog you guys....I love Benny's new songs..or should I say Bentangle! The flute played to summon the seals was so, so haunting...you were indeed lucky to hear and see it. Falmouth looks lovely, and Mullion Cove. They are on my list to visit thanks to you both! Those pasties looked the business! Glad you have someone to keep an eye on Rambler while you are travelling. Hope you enjoy planning your trip to Spain...think there should be less snow there...though your van sounds just as warm! Take care both.😊
Her is a lovely Seal story for you. When I was young I used to drink in the same pub as Winford Vaughn Thomas and he once told us of of a time his dad took him to see some seals. His dad told him to be very quiet and keep down so the seals wouldn't see them. The seals were basking on some rocks. His dad said I can issue the seals orders and they will obey me. His dad then stood up, shouted Attention. all the seals rose up, his dad then shouted Dismiss and the seals shot off into the sea.
I lived in Falmouth for 10 yrs, 5 yrs ago, we used to park up, in Falmouth, just so many van lifers so the council stopped it Typical ! Happy Daze. Great video, guys. Cornwall is the best.ive lived here for 50 yrs and love it.🎉
If the sale of the canal boat releases any money what about buying a fixer-upper in Spain, Portugal or Italy? You're both good at DIY so you could fix it up. You will be subject to the 90-day rule but that would get you through our worst winter months in UK plus a nice summer holiday. If I was your age that's what I'd be thinking about. One other thing: I like the van you've got - going bigger has a lot of downsides: fuel consumption, parking, access on small lanes, etc. Good luck!
As a Cornishman living in the north now, thank you so much for showing me a little of home and being so respectful. Loved seeing Queenie in the alley as well. 😂
So nice to see you guys in my home town glad you liked Falmouth 😊 mullion and surrounding beaches are also lovely to explore x you can walk to various coves enjoy! Hope rambler is ok x poldu cove is near you and they have a fab beach cafe with great hot chocolate x glad you had an Ann’s pasty they are amazing the best xx
My friend and I camped at Constantine near Falmouth for the Total Eclipse in 1999 and the farmers wife came around in the morning with giant pasties straight from the oven for just a quid Amazing experience never to be forgotten (the eclipse, the pasties and the hog whimpering drunkenness of the whole adventure,) when I was a little kid back n the 1960s the whole family went to Cornwall often and I stood on that same seal beach probably 56 years ago, Time seems to have stood still there. (buoy is still pronounced BOY on this side of the Atlantic and I agree big hollow ones are somewhat sinister 🤣) Oh I do love being along for the trip with you two, Emily is so like my old pal Gayle its uncanny. Falmouth is super :) but near where I stayed for the eclipse is a place called Gweek that has a rescue and release seal🦭 place which is really coool🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭
I grew up round there, en route from St Keverne to Falmouth we would always pass the sign for “Constantine and Gweek”, the name pair fascinated me as a child and I still think it sounds like a hipster band or artisanal business or quirky fictional detective duo lol
I have a photograph of me as a boy holding a handkerchief to the nose of that large figurehead. Probably taken around 65 years ago! Did the same with my children many years later. The shop next to it used to be an amazing chandlers.
Woke up from a dream, Saw that a new video of yours had dropped and it was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your adventures and kindness with us. Peace Love
So pleased you bought the best pasties in the world. Always our go to shop when we're down there. Love them. Sorry the weather wasn't better for you. Its so beautiful in the sunshine. Love Cornwall and its history, so much to explore and enjoy. Take care xx
he name "Lizard" is most probably a corruption of the Cornish name "Lys Ardh", meaning "high court";[5] it is purely coincidental that much of the peninsula is composed of serpentinite-bearing rock. The peninsula's original name may have been the Celtic Bridanoc, from Britannakon ("the "British one"), preserved in the name of the former village of Predannack, now site of Predannack Airfield.[6]
I love watching your adventures you really are one of the most calming lovely couples out there. In life we are probably 2 different ends of the spectrum I'm definitely not as spiritual and creative and laid back as you 2 my life is chaotic to say the least. I live in London and I'm not the nicest of person sometimes (I can't be) lol. Your videos are like an oasis of calm to me. Seriously considering buying a van and leaving it all behind. So glad I come across your channel. Who knows I may bump into you guys in a random car park one day lol. Wish you both all the best.

What a fun, wet & windy Adventure. So kool to be out , not dealing with tourists. 👍 Enjoy Autumn, i miss Alan💙 I built a woodburner for my camper , posted my build, Its so epic. Be blessed 🙏🙏
Talking about the snow in Macclesfield area makes me wish I was there. I live in Northern Ontario, with Lake Superior on my door step and in the last few days we have had storm after storm with almost 4 feet of blowing snow already. It's hard to take so early in the winter. Thanks for your great videos.
Hi Emily and Ben I think you chose the best time to go to Cornwall as in the Summer it gets REALLY CROWDED and is more difficult to find a site , I trust you had some Scones and Cream with Rasberry jam .Thank you for taking us with you as it brought back many memouries .

Hey guys. You recently fell upon my YT feed. Hey from North Cornwall (nr Padstow). Love your channel. Lovely to see Mullion again. Not been in about 8 years. 😊🌊
Fantastic video 👏👏👏we travel every year from the midlands to lizard, worth it just for the fish and chips from the chip shop next to the village green, definitely the best in the uk!! Best wishes Gary and Claire

Hi guys, I just found your channel...watching your latest video, great vid! Was loving the narrow boat. Now your in Cornwall too (or previously) Falmouth is great, my brother moved to Cornwall 20 years ago, Falmouth was the first place he stayed. I also spent my 21st birthday there, seeing you enjoy it was cool. The Lizard is cool too! Subbed! 😃👍
Cornwall is so stunning even when desolate, but it’s just a shame so many properties are left empty in winter. Glad you are enjoying yourselves stay safe and keep bringing us along lol🤗
Always wanted to be able to go see the area you were in today always fascinated me at the Naval history . It’s kind of funny with your weather that Benny was doing a good job coming off with the Jesus look with his long hair and his beard. Anyway, always enjoy your videos and get busy doing your planning for Spain trip. I get to travel through your eyes.
He he, we also do the points of the compass game :) Furthest south ever for us is Slope Point South Island New Zealand and northernmost is Skara Brae on Mainland Orkney. Enjoy your Spain and Portugal trip :) You are right, some vanlifers can let the side down with poor behaviour (like some boaters do) but they are an easy target to blame in many cases. We have watched day trippers cascade an area of beach with their rubbish even when bins are available. Rather than view us as a problem to be gotten rid of, places should look for the opportunities, just like they do in Europe (as you mentioned).
It’s always good to try other cultures cuisine it helps to better get to know a country by way of its dishes. You’d probably be surprised how delicious the food is. I personally love Greek and other Mediterranean dishes.
That was a great one guys. Really enjoyed it and the scenery was fantastic. Ben your music went so well with those beautiful scenes.. just superb. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing.
My sister has an old wooden fishing boat moored in Gweek. Its a magical area in off peak season. That whistle rendition was beautiful. Maybe he was a seal whisperer. x
When I was a child growing up in Cornwall the foghorns would blare all night, the quarry would blast every day, Concorde would go boom each evening, there was a siren on the town hall roof to call reserve firemen and a maroon to call the lifeboat crew - no wonder I'm a nervous wreck.
I have heard that it is much harder to find places for camper vans to park in the U.K. than the rest of Europe. I’m guessing that people who live in vans full time have been overstaying so new restrictions have been brought in. Even lorry drivers say that it’s hard for them to park up legally and they have to take regular breaks from driving by law. Better weather in southern Spain and Portugal too in the winter so I’m looking forward to those vlogs. I do prefer the Narrowboat vlogs though as it’s boating that I find really interesting. However you two are interesting whatever you are doing. Despite the rain it’s a lovely vlog. I love that the van is so warm inside that Benny has wear vest top in the van. Loved the music Benny. Stay safe both of you, I hope Rambler survived Storm Bert. X
Hey amazing video thanks so much. I live in West Cornwall and it was a brilliantly honest rendition of the Lizard. Music so lovely to. You make me remember my first outings on the Lizard, so lucky to be amongst it now. At 25:24 you can hear the famous Cornish Chuff letting themselves be known st. Real characters always harping on about something.
It's an age old story. The thoughtless ruin things for the thoughtful.
Was your friend Ben by chance. And did you come over the Boddinck ferry?
You'd love a book called The Salt Path, its all about the South Coast path & a couples journey together when they became homeless & the people they met along the way ❤

I was writing about Foresty Forest. Sorry I wasn’t clear.
Lizard Point is named after the Cornish language, in which it is known as “an Lysardh”, meaning “the high court”.
Ah! Super thanks ☺️

Thank you so much for taking me with you on your adventures!
When I was a child growing up in Cornwall the foghorns would blare all night, the quarry would blast every day, Concorde would go boom each evening, there was a siren on the town hall roof to call reserve firemen and a maroon to call the lifeboat crew - no wonder I'm a nervous wreck.
Have fun😊❤
Each. Episode is is perfection 😮
Come check out our pasties in northern Michigan! Outside of Cornwall, the upper peninsula of Michigan is the pasty capital of the entire Americas. 😉

Thanks you guys ❤
Cool.😊
Hey amazing video thanks so much. I live in West Cornwall and it was a brilliantly honest rendition of the Lizard. Music so lovely to. You make me remember my first outings on the Lizard, so lucky to be amongst it now.
At 25:24 you can hear the famous Cornish Chuff letting themselves be known st. Real characters always harping on about something.
