KCS 900 was the largest and heaviest shay to ever leave Lima factory. Mower 12 was the largest and heaviest to ever operate after it was converted into the 200 ton monster. Big 6 is the largest to be operational now and was the second largest by weight just by around 6 tons heavier than Mower 12 in its 3-truck configuration. To the model, it seems like it needs some tlc and surely will run better after a good maintenance. I only heard good things about the Max Gray WM shay, I don't own one of those but they are nice engines.
Beautiful steam Locomotive. Someday, I gotta get a shay engine to add to my HO scale brass train collection.
Pfm Shay’s are the best for reliability. Have one from 1960 and run flawlessly

I was not aware of that only knew about mower #12 pre modification. Also the model runs fine just have to add some pickups and a decoder.
Nice would you like to sell it because I am looking for that locomotive my self
Not really. Just got it and and planning do paint and add a decoder.
@ if you change your mind let me know
@@jamessnyder3052 if you really want one, there is one in the bay.
Mower 12 was bigger.
By weight this was the largest Shay.
