      @@LifeintheUP Have you ever seen a very dry powdery snow there in the UP that is granular, almost like flour and you can't even feel it if you pick it up with your hand. If you blow on your car windsheild, it just blows right off.

      Yes, I have seen that light powdery snow. Snow is fascinating...there are so many variations.

    Live in the lower Peninsula
    Have traveled through the UP 30 times. Lived in North Dakota. Even NORTH DAKOTA is easier to live in than the UP. Can't match the natural beauty of the UP.
    Can't match the mosquitoes and snowfall either. Considered living in the UP but I'm not that committed

      @@LifeintheUP North of the Lansing, Grand Rapids, Midland line is really no man's land, the least discovered part of the state.
      The northern lower peninsula is least explored and visited outside Lake Michigan shore
