The 2000 was fascinating to both watch and hear. Before any started hitting the center, it looked like a meteorological (weather) map of a tornado's wind intensity.
Kinda reminds me of a neutron star collapsing into a black hole. All the distant energetic particles succumbing to gravity, represented here by the funnel, until they become essentially one mass.
I was thinking like this is what happens to light particles going into a spinning black hole. It all orbits ever closer till reaching the event horizon
I don't know what it is about watching spherical objects spinning down a hyperbolic funnel that is so satisfying to watch. The glowing ones and the 2000 marbles were like watching a hyper sped-up spiral galaxy being pulled down into a super black hole.
These would work really well as demonstrations for a number of physical and mathematical phenomena - orbits, inertia, momentum transfer, emergent behavior, flows, entropy and the arrow of time, probability, Gaussian distributions, shutter speed effects...
I think the sorted color marbles at the end, or maybe the big UV light run was my favorite. Would love to see this absolute BOHWEMOTH of a funnel used in upcoming "Funnel Endurance" courses in the Marble League.
@@FuncleChuck oh I know how, it's just such a cool demonstration of the physics that you rarely get to see, it's like sure you know the combustion triangle but it's super cool when your physics teacher turns a water jug into a rocket
I'd be genuinely interested to see that run backwards. An explosion of colour spreading outwards from a central point, that having spread out and seemingly in chaos, reorganizes itself into a unified ribbon of purpose that then leaves through a designated exit
@@FuncleChuck see I've tried regular whispering ASMR, random sounds ASMR, and it just doesn't do it for some reason, but this here hits different, maybe I need the visual with the audio to have it happen
Now, imagine there being no air resistance and no friction from the funnel surface to slow the marbles down and pull them to the centre. Then you have a pretty accurate simulation of our current theory of gravity.
seeing that there were mouse balls in there, I'm super curious how well they would do on a marbula 1 or rally track. anyway, this was a great illustration in how gravity functions! The Big Funnel is always my favorite thing at a science museum.
I really like watching your marble videos and particularly enjoyed the rainbow show finale. And those steel ball bearings reminded me of sheepdogs, it was as if they were herding the little ones to safety, lol. ❤ Thank you for sharing and please keep making your awesome videos - you bring so much joy to so many, many people
That was really trippy..!!! If you concentrate on the centre of the funnel during wide shots, it appears domed outwards and upside down - like a mountain, rather than a sinkhole...
Thank you so much for the epilepsy warning at the beginning of this. I decided to go ahead and watch, but in small chunks and on a small screen. It was so helpful to know in advance.
So so so cool. I loved the ball bearings-- so mesmerizing. This needs to be in ML. Like a mass start marathon race with all four team marbles. Do points based on their inverse ordinal finish. That would be sweet. It might even be a fun event to reverse the scoring with those finishing first getting the points!
I'd love to see this in the Olympics. Make it a team event and send one team off spinning clockwise and the other from a ramp on the opposite side spinning counter-clockwise. Ready Fight!

Oh that’s a perfect way of describing that
Tornado? Is straight up Black Hole.
I especially love the reflections/shadows of the marbles as they get closer and closer to the funnel. It's almost like an optical illusion!
It sure does.
The original marble run videos were how I found Jelle. Love you're still doing these types of videos and displays.

Loved the timbre of the steel balls

funny you say i have been to a few children's museum that do just that they where mt favorite exhibits as a child

Jelle's Marble Runs will solve the 3 Body Problem
Obviously the answer to everything is...a funnel?
This would be wild with glow in the dark mar-
LED marbles?!! whaaa? love it!
I love hearing the noise it makes. I'm grateful there's no music over it 😊
3:20 Now that's funny. I didn't think you would run into a situation like that.
The previous one had them drop straight down into a massive bucket. No way for that to get backed up.
That's Team... Black Hole Cloggers.
I love funnels
PRIDE MOUNT FUJI LETS GO
It's fascinating how the different masses of the marbles affected how long they resisted falling into the funnel

6:00 That big chonkin ball bearing demanded its time in the spotlight.
Woah! The glow in the dark mixed with LED light marbles looks like a forming galaxy! Also I love the stack of rainbow marbles at the finish lins 🤩
The "wow factor" just kept going up and up throughout this!!! 😮😯😲 Absolutely astounding video, team!!! #MarbleLife
i love the funnels
Who else is mesmerized 🤯
The steel marbles sound like rain ❤
oddly satisfying
I'm picturing this is what it would look like if the local roller rink all of a sudden developed a black hole in the middle.
wow its the universe
It's great that events like these are held. Great way to see the marble athletes of tomorrow shine and show what they can do!
Awesome.💻
so trippy love it. fav part was the blacklight and the rambow of colors super cool.
This is so satisfying to watch :)
Amazing !!
15:50 you're making art.
This is so satisfying! Sounds like the rain noises I listen to to fall asleep to at night
I love how long this is and the visual illusions are mesmerizing. I think this is gonna be my favorite. I wish I had my own funnel lol.
You should use this event as a quick introduction to how the scoring works in ML next season
Nickels!
These asmr videos are amazing.
😵💫👏🏻Bravo
Fun to watch, just like the races. 🙂
The basis of black holes and worm holes right here ty 👍
Beautiful video, the LED marble reminded me of a Firework display gorgeous
I really love watching things like this thanks for uploading this. even when marbles make contact on eachother!
* gets hypnotised by spinny balls * Good pre-sleep sound, quiets my mind
I'd be genuinely interested to see that run backwards. An explosion of colour spreading outwards from a central point, that having spread out and seemingly in chaos, reorganizes itself into a unified ribbon of purpose that then leaves through a designated exit
Jelle's new army of hypnosis minions, assemble!😵💫😵💫
4:31 this effect is sick
The bearings running in opposite directions is a most savage bloodsport.
I could watch marble runs for hours and hours. Good white noise for my dogs to not hear the other dogs barking outside, too. :D
Looks like what I imagine the universe looks like sped up.
It was like watching a Starling Murmeration with the 2000 ones
Love how the reflections and shadows move like they're going in the opposite direction
So hypnotic!
LED marbles? I didn't know there was such a thing! I want some.
The LED ones were like some special effect, very cool. But I think my favorite was the glow in the dark, LED, and uranium combo.
Now we need some Marbula 1 LED races under the lights!
Yay I love these so much!!! I've got some videos to catch up on!
I could watch this all day
The glow in the dark one was my absolute favourite
And pennies!!
The 2000 small marbles looked almost like a galaxy.
Why is this so damned satisfying?
This is the best! 😍👍
I am amazed at how much I enjoyed this video!
Wow, ngl, that rainbow pile at the end made me smile. I gotta get more marbles! Don't think I can afford such a funnel though.
Mama, look at that boy go!
I like how the movements play tricks on your eyes, almost looking like the marbles are jumping out of the hole.
Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue. I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too!
As someone who doesn't normally get the tingles from ASMR most people experience I can say that this actually did it
Marbles is how I learned I liked ASMR. After a few videos like this, I ended up with someone whispering to me and was hooked.
@@FuncleChuck see I've tried regular whispering ASMR, random sounds ASMR, and it just doesn't do it for some reason, but this here hits different, maybe I need the visual with the audio to have it happen
Okay, photosensitivity makes it hard for me to watch some of this, but the sound is oddly soothing.
I stood it as long as I could, but when those glow in the dark things came out the hallucinations just took over!
🤩 Far out man! 💫
13:07 glowy vortex
wow this is oddly relaxing
Honestly, I wish it didn't cut to the zoomed camera. Still satifying af lol
Milkyway 😂
Amazing.
The glow in the dark marbles looked like the Well of Souls from Hercules

I can't imagine how loud 2,000 marbles must be in person, rolling all around like that...
...But it sure is quite fun to watch! :D
This video brought some sweet sweet memories of circle pits in trash metal concerts!!!
Uranium marbles. Now I have seen everything.
Hello jelles marble league can't wait for the survival race.
That was really trippy..!!! If you concentrate on the centre of the funnel during wide shots, it appears domed outwards and upside down - like a mountain, rather than a sinkhole...
Oh my gosh, this is a really like cool skittle whirlpool!
Well done J!
Mesmerizing
So amazing asmr video!
It is so much fun and so mesmerizing at the same time
Marbles are awesome!
Thank you so much for the epilepsy warning at the beginning of this. I decided to go ahead and watch, but in small chunks and on a small screen. It was so helpful to know in advance.
That was amazing!
Every single thing around us is doing this all the time, from electrons to planets.
This needs to be taken by those 10,000 FPS cameras, then played at something like 30-60 FPS for a cool, slowmo, galaxy look effect

Again, I grew up surfing and fishing in the ocean, and now I live in Alaska... go Oceanics and go Gliding Glaciers!!!
aka. the *Endurance Funnel Battle Royale.*
